Here's the inherent problem.
"Getting those folks to like us" will never ever happen. Dude, they want us dead, and always will.
Getting the thread back on track, again, here is a great speech Cruz made recently that goes into detail how he will protect this country, my #1 issue.
If you want to discuss the substance of his remarks here, I welcome it.http://www.c-span.org/video/?401831-1/ted-cruz-remarks-national-security

Here's the thing, he's not like Reagan and saying he's going to carpet bomb/nuke the mid east will not keep us safe.
I suggest you watch this and see Cruz, talking in detail and in context about the Middle East.

More proof the Establishment Rinos hate Cruz
The Rino Governor from Iowa is a sore loser, he is now following Cruz into South Carolina with more negative adds, not knowing it's actually helping Cruz with conservative voters.

And if Cruz is the eventual candidate, it is helping Hillary as well.    On other boards, even many hard core conservatives use the word "sleazy" when talking about Cruz.

The logical next question is, in what context do they use the word sleazy?
Unless you can give some specific examples, it's empty hyperbole.

Substance.

"Thus it was telling when Huckabee took time out of his most recent podcast to say the following of Cruz:

Ted Cruz apologized for his campaign spreading a false story that Ben Carson had dropped out of the race but he deflected blame to CNN. Dr. Carson, being a good Christian, accepted the apology on a personal level, but he didnt buy Cruzs claims of innocent intentionsI can attest to the fact that even in our campaign there were many efforts to try and say that people shouldnt vote for me or Rick Santorum or Ben Carson. The Cruz people said it would be a wasted vote and they should vote for Cruz. It wouldnt have made a difference for any of us, but it is the kind of low-life, sleazy politics people truly get sick of."

GOP'rs?

They are correct, the establishment GOP does not like Cruz.

Huckabee = establishment.

Cruz = insurgent constitutional (Reagan) conservative

As it untrustworthy.  One republican who has never voted democrat summed it up in one very simple sentence:

"Cruz is scary for many reasons."

Another is a Jewish conservative....she had this to say:

" I feel that Ted Cruz and Hilary Clinton are both so awful that I won't vote for either of them."

The ones who seem to really like Cruz are the "fringe" people....they aren't the ones whose candidate usually gets elected.  On the board I got these quotes from, there are a  handful of fringe people.  They like Cruz.  But they are outnumbered by both the "conservative" republicans and libertarians.

Cruz is the next W....Jesus will guide him and tell him he needs to kill innocents in the middle east in his crusade against good and evil.  You see where that got us.
