Two news helicopters covering a police chase on live television collided and crashed to the ground today, killing all four people on board in a plunge that viewers saw as a jumble of spinning, broken images.

This is so incredibly sad - My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone even remotely connected to this. How the news anchors and cameramen managed to still cover this story after losing their own shows a dedication to their profession and a tribute to their collegues. God speed.........

At the risk of dating myself, this incident reminded me of when Francis Gary Powers along with his camera operator died thirty years ago. Almost to the day. (OMG, how time passes)
