We've just emerged from Chapter 11 restructuring a disciplined carrier ready to take on the world. Of course Doogie played a much larger part of this process than he would care to admit. 😉

Tempe has no idea what they did. They are now in the sights of a fair number of people in ATL. The next six months could be very interesting.

As for me, I've been dreading a flight booked for today on US. As luck would have it, my scheduled changed and I was able to rebook on DL at less than half the price and will still come out several hundred dollars ahead even after the CXL fee. So much for being a LCC. And the DL barbie jet even has first class.

I will have to say I don't care a lot for the new livery. Looks too much like Jet Blue for me.....

I agree with you on the new livery, i hate it!!!

Ditto, but then again, I hate WN's paint and yet they still seem to manage.
It does look alot like jetBlue. Maybe that is what is in the works, being that jetBlue has alot of flights out of JFK. The ATC is gonna have a ball with them at JFK, 2 different companies, alost the same Paint Scheme. Just hope they can tell the difference between Airbus and a Boeing.

I watched the video (thanks for the link). As jaded as I am about this industry, I have to admit that I am happy for Delta.
I am envious of their unity and determination.
I was impressed by the number of times the employees were mentioned as integral to their ability to get out of bankruptcy.
I want USAirways to have the same singular focus that the employees can trust in. Prove to us that this company can be legitimately profitable by managing its resources correctly.

I can remember a time that USAir was like that even though it is a faded memory now. We will never see anything like that at USAir again. It's a shame for the people who have 15 years and less that they will never know the pride we had in this company and the unity of all of it's employees.
