"If you are young and not a liberal, you have no heart; if you are older and not a conservative, you have no brain."
I wonder into what age catergory I would fall.
The last time this many seats were lost was in 1994 when the Republicans picked up 54 seats in the House, 8 seats in the Senate as well as 12 Governor seats.

The problem is the Republicans got too "liberal" for their own good and the conservatives threw them out of office. Maybe now the Republican party can return to their roots like in 1994 and get back in touch with the electorate.

They didn't get "Liberal", They got corrupt, greedy, and incompetant. No other way to call it.
Republicans got "liberal"?! I'd say that they stayed as true-red as the could. Corruption. Limiting rights. Throwing bibles. Waging holy wars. Decimating science. Giving perks to the rich. etc. The problem is that they were too conservative. Your perception of reality is quite distorted, Aero. THAT's what has happened to your blessed GOP...no sense of reality and always scrambling for somebody to blame rather than fixing their own problems.
You just defined LIBERAL!! Corruption is not a blue and red issue. It's a politician issue period and is as rampant as ever on BOTH sides of the aisle. Limiting rights, throwing away bibles, waging class warfare, decimating human life for the good of science, giving away perks to the able bodied and not thinking about who is going to pay for it is classic liberalism. Ignoring reality and always looking for someone to blame is exactly what the demolibs have been doing since the 50's. Give me a break. It's as simple as the nose on your face yet you can't seem to see it. Imagine that!!
They weren't too conservative. If they were they were they would have been re-elected. Thanks to this election the cancer that they had infected this party with has been exposed. Now comes the time to treat it and emerge bigger and better than ever.

We are just putting the bibles back where they belong, in the churches and in your home. The class war fare is a rep issue. Even a member of the Fed came out and stated that the disparity between the rich and poor is of great concern and needs to be addressed. Decimating human life for science? I assume you are speaking of Stem Cell research. The life you are speaking of are frozen embryos that can either be used to help man kind or be thrown away like trash. Those who have diseases or know someone who has a disease that has the potential to be cured by the research are very much for it. You might be familiar with 2 of them, Nancy Reagan and Michael Fox. Then of course there are the millions of other who might benefit from it. I do hope for your sake, you do not end up as one of those people. It is always easy to condemn when it does not affect you. Free give aways? I assume we are not speaking about the free give aways to he rich and but the give aways to the more needy segment of society.

Moral corruption? I'd rather have Clinton's infidelity that affects only HE and HIS FAMILY than scores of Reps taking bribe money and a pres that is treating soldiers' lives as if they are easily expendible toy soldiers.
