What's new

The happy thread

Twice I am right there with you. I don't want to get into dividing the group any more than we already are but it's true. We have a higher hourly rate but your vacation and sick package evens out the playing field. My hope is for us to enjoy the fruits of both contracts but with the JNC it doesn't seem that way. Now not to hijack this thread to labor I AM happy we are still in business and obviously thriving. All I ask is that management respect their employees and throw a little more at us besides a turkey dinner on Thanksgiving. I don't turn anything away that is a good gesture from management but morale is LOW, LOW, LOW so you cannot expect many to sing high praise and join hands singing, 'kum ba ya'.

I had a nice long layover on the beach somewhere 😀 😀 😀 Since I HAD to work this Holiday, its nice that most other airports in our system close by like 2ish, so me and my crew were able to enjoy someplace other than PHL 😛

The Higgins & Burke Coffee is better than the old stuff. 😀 Hmmm let's see, oh yes, I like the new pleather blue seats. I like the saddle covers for the Envoy carts. What else new? Oh yes the quick attempt at new food on the shuttle. I'm sorry but there really isn't anything monumental to report that would make everyone clink glasses and cheer. Got anything?

How about our new, "very professional looking," uniforms. I believe they are Stan Herman originals. 😛

Someone may have already mentioned it but I think the Envoy Suites have been a great addition to our portfolio.

Not allowing connecting UM's and not transporting animals in the cargo bins (or is it the other way around?) 😀

I may have missed someone else saying it, but they've kept the doors open and 30,000+ people employed longer than I expected old US to last. (and I'm not trying to start a who saved who fight in this thread - I said longer than I expected)

** I love the who saved who threads! (nothing like an arranged marriage)

** The West is underpaid! - I love making certain posters spit (The east does have a very bad vaca/ins)

** I love my profit sharing. - I love riding some of your backs! (Learning to share does not come easy for some)

I love that warm fuzzy feeling so many pass back and forth on this board. This intoxicating(ed) feeling starts from the top of corporate and just tinkles past the employees like Jack Daniels over ice cubes.
