My coworker told me yesterday he received the IAM newsletter and on the very front page it had a title that went something like this:

The IAM is Not Happy with the fact that OTHER UNION CARDS are being sent out and signed and sent back.

I do believe that this is/was for Fleet Service, however, am not sure.

May be someone can put it on here. I havent gotten one yet so I dont really know all of it, but my coworker said it sounded like that the IAM is p!$t off about it.
IAM is reaping what they sow after they sold us UNION BROTHERS and SISTERS out in the smaller cities.

Your own IAM Brothers and Sisters voted in the final offer, not the IAM leadership.

But you know that and still continue with the same line.

Simply amazing, I guess you fail to realize on 1/6/05 Judge Mitchell abrogated your contract.

I wouldn't mind seeing it posted also. Would they dare post it on the IAM website??

I would imagine that they are pi$$ed off. Some other union, and they really are all the same when it boils right down to it, is trying to take their dues. Good!! Competition!! Great for business!!

With the possibility of new representation, the members who are scared of what will happen to them because their union reps tell them to be scared.........maybe with some new union leadership, the members won't be so scared and take their fate into their own hands with a vote card!! (Looks like they are well on their way with the cards.) Then certain people, and you know who you are, won't continue to say that it was the members fault and NOT the IAM. Who the hell is the union? Don't the members make up the union. What a bunch of garbage.

its probably a local lodge news letter.

secret:find the lodge number and it may be on their website.... don't tell anyone i told you

It is probably District 141's The Messenger which has never been put up on the web it is a members only publication, which you can put endoresments for political elections and such, on the web you cannot as equal time election laws come into play.

That newsletter is nothing more than Toilet Paper with a stamp on it. Before I started throwing it away, I only remember that 99% was about UA and thier IAM members. There was usually one paragraph on the last page about US, and that was it. It should have been called the United Messenger instead.

700, Your IAM brothers and sisters ALSO voted "NO" on the FIRST [and should of been ONLY] offer for the FIRST bankrupcy "offer".

But you know that and still continue with the same line...

You CANNOT blame the membership for the decision to REVOTE the NO vote from the FIRST bankrupcy offer !!

You can be assured that if the union WANTED a NO vote, There would'nt of been a SECOND vote !!

Simply Amazing, The union should of respected the membership's ORGINIAL "NO" vote..

We will never know the outcome of that "NO" vote that was NOT honored...No one can say for sure that the company would file Chapter 7. Personally, I think the judge would of simply imposed the offer on the membership..If he did in fact impose this POS offer,or abrograte the contract, a STRIKE vote should of been taken.

I guess 89 did not vote as there was a strike vote taken every single time the concessionary contracts were voted on.

In the last round of concessions the membership failed to vote the 2/3 majority need to sanction a strike.

My Own BROTHERS AND SISTERS in my city all turned down the so called final offer. Why in the he!! would we vote out our own jobs when the hubs could do that easily? and we didnt have to many choices to go anywhere as we have our own bills and families to take care of.

Simply amazing how you fail to realize that PVD and BDL were added to the CLASS I list just to get the dam so called contract thru.

700, As you are well aware, I am talking about the First Vote, First Bankrupcy,

The vote that was REVOTED due to the IAM leadership decision, Not the membership...

Please stay on track 700, No one is buying your "Bait and Switch" B.S...Maybe you ought to try a new
career as a used car salesman...

Dell, Don't worry, I'm "dealing with it" the best I know how..And I ain't alone. 😉

I have not baited and switched anything go back and read my post, I said there was a strike vote taken each time.

And keep harping on something that was almost three years ago, it won't change a thing.

its over....
besides at the time i was in the shop steward position and i took the position very seriously....and i took it as hard as you or any other.
keep the faith...don't waiver from other weaker members positions.

700, What was the relevancy of stating the Obvious?
"a strike vote taken every single time the concessionary contracts were voted on"....

If you read my post again, I stated a strike vote should of been taken if the judge would of imposed the offer or abrograted the contract...[if the IAM would of honored the First Bankrupcy, First Vote]...Focus man, Focus..

It does not matter that almost 3 years have passed since this sleaziness happened, People have not forgotten, and you are wrong, It just might change A LOT.
