What's new

The IAM

the iam is endorsing 2 candidates, thet is par for the course, they are letting US run as 2 different labor groups

Well arent we glad, your not an IAM Member.

Well if you think about it not all union members are democrats, and the republican members use to get on the labor movement about endorsing dems only.

This way it gives dems and repubs who are IAM members options.

The IAM endorsed Huckabee:

who just crossed a picket line:

You guys sure know how to pick 'em!
While I am personally neither a Republican or Democrat and never have been either, I find Huckabee as a viable candidate. I haven't caught up on the writer's strike but aren't the other AFLCIO unions including the actor's guild crossing lines? In either case, I think it is fundamentally wrong for Huckabee or other unions to cross the writer's picket line. That's no excuse for any candidate and he showed his weakness on labor issues. His statement regarding the strike was weak and political rhetoric.
Here's something radical Diogenes, since the writer's strike involves TV, anyone who watched Huckabee on Leno crossed the picket line, not just Huckabee. Anybody who watched anything on TV crossed the picket line. A National Labor leader would point this out and basically shut down hollywood until management cleaned up its act.

At any rate, the yo yo's like Hillary, Obama, Guiliani are pathetic. I'd probably consider Romney, Huckabee, Edwards. Although I'd like to vote for a democrat, it appears only full blown liberals would make it out of the topsy turvy democratic national convention.

Nonetheless, good pick up Diogenes on Huckabee's ignorant actions.

regards,

Thanks IAM you just made my list of candidates 2 shorter. Because if the IAM endorses them then they will for sure not get my vote.

That about sums up the IAM they can't even make a solid decision on backing one party one candidate they play both sides just in case they pick the wrong one they will always be known as

The frighten machinists

The WGA is on a totally justified strike. Management does not want to pay royalties on new revenue streams like the Internet to the writers. When you look at the company balance sheets (and executive bonuses) the poor-mouthing is hardly warranted.

That the IAM would endorse a picket line crosser is hardly surprisingly, considering they endorsed Kerry in '04, who had advocated a US Chapt. 7 to help the industry.

The IAM politics like they negotiate - poorly.

Forget UNIONS in AMERICA! We will START OVER! GO! John EDWARDS.
I hate to recreate what your parents have said. But! America is needing to be reinvented. We all sit back and wait to vote! But! for whom? O.K. We are in the war, we are needing insurance. We have people coming from everywhere to work at the airport!
Only a person that has seen this mess and related to it can help. Why are only Lawyers running?
Which ones have helped Americans to beat the system? Only the BEST! Now! Stop thinking about yourselves and think about where we will be without someone who wants' the best for us. America!
It ain't about us! It's about US against the REST! Go! John EDWARDS!

I'm a John Edwards supporter too. I have been for years. He was a great Senator for the State of North Carolina.
If I had a question, and wrote his office, I always got a response. Always.

Lizzy Dole???? Never got so much as a "kiss my ass" form letter.

He was also a big supporter of US Airways. Still is.
He tried his damnedest to help us keep our pensions.

He is the only Dem. worth my vote. He's a good man.
Hell...I voted for Kerry because of him.

That's how much I believe in him.

GO EDWARDS!!!!🙂

lith & fbn,

Me too, guys! Edwards is the only shot in the next decade to turn this country around!

He was really instrumental securing US ATSB $$$'s.

We! need to forget our pitifull little selves and vote for America lifting up against the results of the Clintons giving CART BLANC to global industries. AND! WE SUCK in the GLOBAL industry as of airlines. GET ON TRACT! GO! JOHN EDWARDS!

Don't blame the Clintons little darling.

President Eisenhower gave us fair warning about The Military/Industrial Complex 40 yrs ago prior to JF Kennedy taking office and no one believed him.

Believe him now??
