I just tried to renew my pass and had the GREAT pleasure of speaking with "operator 10". I have NEVER in my life been treated so horrible over the phone. Talk about speaking uneducated and rude. She in the conversation told me it was none of my business about the schedule and this conversation was over. I actually sat there for a minute in disbelief. Thinking, "Did this conversation just happen"? Am I the only one to dread renewing my pass? What an experience. There MUST be someone to complain to. We can't be at the mercy of "operator 10".

They are rudest group in the parking pass office. There is a sign that requires that mobile phones be turned off...so we have pilots, F/As waiting for calls from crew scheduling and they want to phones off. There is one gentleman in the office that is very helpful, but god help you with the rest of them.

They really are a nasty group of people there. You feel like a criminal. "Happy Birthday! You can't go to work! Walk-in hours for crew are every third Tuesday 4am-445am, and every second Thursday from 1-1:07 pm. You may not make an appointment."

Hey, thanks for the info.

I had no idea they extended the hours!

I found it odd that monday, tuesday are 8:30am-11pm then wednesday and thursday are 24hours YES 24hours and friday to sunday are again 8:30am-11pm yet they have NOTHING until May 4th. How in the hell could they be THAT busy and full? I find it hard to believe. Then to be told when I questioned it that it was "none of my concern". I have never seen such a group of people running a place. With ALL the complaints the parking people have had against them I just don't understand it. I hope nobody else has to deal with "operator 10". What a winner.

Wed and Thur are 24 hours now? Are you serious?
I got the new parking info packet about two weeks ago from the crew service center. The new hours are in there. Indeed Weds and Thurs are 24 hours and booked until May 4th. I cannot believe how they make you feel like your damn lucky to be getting a parking pass. The whole parking process needs to be revamped and the process streamlined. Walking in there and sitting around is worse than sitting in a police station or welfare office. EVERYONE is rude and has an attitude. I couldn't imagine working there. Oh wait, the aircraft have been no pleasure cruise lately.

My guess is a city operated patronage position(or positions) that has nothing to do w/ sevice and everything to do w/ who you (they) "know".
Or, this is the face of everyday civil service in the "city of brotherly shove."
Welcome to my world.

I have had really nice people and people who seemed to mind that I was breathing the same air they were.

What has pleasantly suprised me is when I'm expecting the worst when dealing w/anything in Philadelphia and the interaction goes well. It may be a case of the bad behavior making the biggest impression while normal,or civil, behavior goes unnoticed. The "random acts of kindness" that I have run into on occasion has taught me not to paint things w/ such a big brush.
I'll never forget dragging my bag down the street and a guy ,who looked kind of rough, was standing on the street corner. As I passed, instead of ignoring me(which would be SOP)he said "How are you today?" Instead of the standard response(which would have been to ignore him and move away as fast as possible) I said "Very well, Thanks for asking." It put a smile on my face.
Wonders never cease.

Wasn't Santa Claus roughed up at an Eagles game a while back?

Ya, that was at the Vet! 😛

Last night at the Phillies game they were doing the E A G L E S Chant. Pretty bad, and its not even the end of April!

last year i called to make an appointment. i was told that i could come sunday at 2:15 AM, monday at 11:45 PM or wednesday at midnight. INSANE!!! it's awful- i'd rather be "D" on the 757 for a year than have to get that pass renewed. i'm already dreading november!

Just to be clear, the 24 hours is appoinment, not walk-in... here was me thinking perhaps I could pop in at 230 one night after a night out, but before stopping at Wawa... leave the car running outside the terminal, in and out. Not so...
