Pretty sure that's a lie but what ever. The point stands and no, an insult is not an insult just as not all graffiti is the same.

Not sure how to fix it. I think a good state is to start fixing the inner city schools. Start giving subsidies for opening businesses in areas that are under served. Start teaching real sex ed and offing birth co troll to both boys and girls. Start pasting job training programs in prisons so that those who can/wAnt rehabilitation have the opportunity. Over haul the welfare system so that aid is on a sliding scale with salary and set up some sort of jobs program.

There are tons of things we could and should do but we as a nation are far to short sighted to see past today.

I'm first generation US so I know I have nothing to do with the slavery here in the US. I believe there is a difference between guilt and responsibility. While I am not guilty of the crimes comited by my forefathers. I do believe that as an American I am responsible for the actions this nation has taken. I am not arguing that these are excuses but they are issues that need to be dealt with in my opinion though I do not know how.

Second I was referring the the US and the fact that I am a US citizen. If we are going on ancestry they we are all (except Native Americans) responsible for our forefathers actions else where in the world.

More to the point. I am a US citizen and I feel that I must accept responsibility (ownership) of the actions taken my this country. I am not guilty (not meant as a pejorative) of the actions but I am a US citizen. I cannot just wash my hands of slavery just because I was born after the abolishment of it and the passing of the Civil Rights Act. It is still part of the US of which I am a citizen.
