The Truth about Iraq

I am not one to believe Bush is to blame for all that has happened in Iraq. Sadam just kept this potential Civil War under wraps by murdering thousands of innocent people. Now we find, they don't like each other and kill. IMHO, one possible solution would be to divide Iraq into three sectarian territories, Kurds up North, Shiites down South and the Sunni's in the middle.... Let the Sunni's be the farmers. Hell, it's a job. Let the UN enforce it and OUR Troops get to come home. If they want to kill each other, less potential Terrorists. Next we get to deal with the Iranians and that Moron up in NK. I'm just waiting for Chavez in Venezuela to get a Nuke, that will be ugly as well. BTW, I no longer buy Citgo gas. Thanks for the time.

NEW LONDON, Connecticut (CNN) -- President Bush is expected to use declassified intelligence about Osama bin Laden to defend his Iraq war policy during a commencement address Wednesday.

Bush also will outline "three aviation plots" that have been disrupted as part of national security operations, said Frances Townsend, the homeland security adviser. Townsend, who spoke with reporters on Air Force One, offered no other details.

The president also is expected to mention in the speech declassified intelligence that says bin Laden planned in 2005 to use Iraq as a base from which to launch attacks in the United States, according to White House spokesman Gordon Johndroe.

I can hear it now from the Libs..."Its all a ploy drummed up by 'W' designed to increase his approval ratings and justify the continued war in Iraq"... blah...blah...blah!

Does shooting missiles at our planes patrolling the no-fly zone count?

NO, they do not. Iraq attacked US aircraft flying over a sovereign nation. I think that is a bit different than attacking a nation, don't you?

You know the score, so don't even try to play that tune. Saddam kicked the IAEA Inspectors out, played cat & mouse for 10 years all the while thumbing his nose at the world and the jig was up!

You Libs kill me with your logic for a pretense for going to war. you would rather wait for the mushroom cloud over America before dealing with a threat.

Why don't you take a trip to one of those 'peace loving' Islamic countries and speak out about they're policies the way you do about Ours? Say someplace nice like Iran and see how fast you find yourself locked away in Evin.

...After all its just a 'Bumper sticker slogan' eh Garfield?

Your assertions that invading Iraq has made this country safer is ludicrous. That cloud you dread could come from anywhere in the ME. Hell, it more than likely will not even be funded by a government, but rather some group that is being funded by people from all over the world.

If Cheney wanted to invade because Sadam was playing cat and mouse with stuff that no has found, then he should have said that instead of cherry picking 'evidence' to support theories that have since been exposed as out and out lies.

Why is it no one seems to have a problem with going into Afghanistan? Seems the same VP ordered that invasion and everyone to this day is still OK with it. Your BS argument that Cheney and W are being ganged up on is a dog that just won't hunt. The US invaded Afghanistan. OBL was there. It was proven. Everyone knows he was behind 9/11. For the most part no one from either side of the aisle has said a word against it. Then there is Iraq. Hmmmm a little different. Gee I wonder why?

When did I assert that the human rights in Iran (or anywhere else in the ME) were equivalent to those in the US? Your statements are the same as Cheneys when he and W implied that anyone who speaks out against their policies are speaking out against the US. What a load of horse sh1t. We as citizens have an obligation to speak out against our government when they committed acts that we feel are not in the best interest of this country. I believe if you read the constitution you will even find it covered there. I believe they call it the first amendment. So the next time you think about inviting someone to leave the country when they speak out against the government and its actions, why don't you just STFU and read the g0d damn constitution!

It does not even merit a bumper sticker. At least they usually have a point.

Hey Bub...an unprovoked attack.....in a declared no fly zone by the fabled UN....its called an act of war.

I believe they call it the first amendment. So the next time you think about inviting someone to leave the country when they speak out against the government and its actions, why don't you just STFU and read the g0d damn constitution!

Why don't you go over to one of those countries like Russia or Iran and pull one of your rants on their leader and see how the first amendment works there

Your assertions that invading Iraq has made this country safer is ludicrous.

Prove it! Where have the Terrorist been concentrated since the overthrow of Saddam?

That cloud you dread could come from anywhere in the ME. Hell, it more than likely will not even be funded by a government, but rather some group that is being funded by people from all over the world.

So we set back and wait for that cloud? YOU MORON COWARD!

Plenty has been found without even turning over a rock, you just don't like the fact that a Republican did what your Lousy BJ Clinton failed at!

Then there is Iraq. Hmmmm a little different. Gee I wonder why?

All your heros voted for it before they voted against it!
Gee....I wonder why?

What a load of horse sh1t. We as citizens have an obligation to speak out against our government when they committed acts that we feel are not in the best interest of this country.

What do you know is in the best interest of this country?
Capitulation to every thing socialist is your Idea of America, Your a communist loving slag just like your heros!

I believe if you read the constitution you will even find it covered there. I believe they call it the first amendment.

I know what its says and it was'nt meant for you to twist it and pervert it like you choose!

So the next time you think about inviting someone to leave the country when they speak out against the government and its actions, why don't you just STFU and read the g0d damn constitution!

Why don't you act PUSS!...N... Boots?

It does not even merit a bumper sticker. At least they usually have a point.

What point is that? Run away and wait for the attack?

YOUR WORSE THAN ANY FRENCHMAN!

Syria?

So we set back and wait for that cloud? YOU MORON COWARD!

Like I said, Afghanistan, no problem. Iraq was and is not a threat.

Plenty has been found without even turning over a rock, you just don't like the fact that a Republican did what your Lousy BJ Clinton failed at!

Yea, in your dreams. Cheney could not sell that any better than you can. Had they found anything that could have posed an actual threat to the US it would be plastered every where.

All your heros voted for it before they voted against it!
Gee....I wonder why?

Perhaps their decision was based on the faulty inteligence that Cheney/Powell/Rumsfeld paraded around?

What do you know is in the best interest of this country?
Capitulation to every thing socialist is your Idea of America, Your a communist loving slag just like your heros!

Ah, so everyone who disagrees with what your perception of what is good for america is a communist? How is it that your opinion is more valid than anyone else's? Considering that Bush could not get elected as sanitation engineer would seem to indicate that there are for more people who believe as I do (in so far as Iraq is concerned) that those who believe as you do.

I know what its says and it was'nt meant for you to twist it and pervert it like you choose!

Exactly what did I twist?

Right to assemble

The right of assembly was originally closely tied to the right to petition. One significant case involving the two rights was United States v. Cruikshank (1876). There, the Supreme Court held that citizens may "assemble for the purpose of petitioning Congress for a redress of grievances." Essentially, it was held that the right to assemble was secondary, while the right to petition was primary. Later cases, however, have expanded the meaning of the right to assembly. Hague v. CIO (1939), for instance, refers to the right to assemble for the "communication of views on national questions" and for "disseminating information."]Right to assemble.

Why don't you act PUSS!...N... Boots?

I do. I speak out and I contribute to causes that I agree with.

What point is that? Run away and wait for the attack?

YOUR WORSE THAN ANY FRENCHMAN!

And you are no better than some dumb ass ditto head who does not tolerate those who have a different opinion.

They were confused I guess!

Yea I forgot, he stole the election twice

Btw... Whats up with all the red ink, you grading papers now? 😛

Your link refered to a torture hand book so I assume the content changed from what you had intended to post.

Syria sponsors terror.

The president then singled out Syria, which he said "still allows its territory and parts of Lebanon to be used by terrorists who seek to destroy every chance of peace in the region."

"We expect Syria to end all support for terrorists and open the door to freedom," he said, to heavy applause from members of Congress.

They were confused I guess!

No, I doubt that. Cheney and Rumsfeld out and out lied in my opinion. Powell was thrown under the bus.

Yea I forgot, he stole the election twice

I never thought he stole it. I always was of the opinion that they bought it fair and square. Many who I speak to now feel their decision the second time around was a mistake. Polls seem to support that opinion.

Btw... Whats up with all the red ink, you grading papers now? 😛

Why don't you go over to one of those countries like Russia or Iran and pull one of your rants on their leader and see how the first amendment works there

Why??? Because we do such a great job of ranting over here!

Second, its only you idiots who want to spread the 1st amendment and "democracy" around the world. Let's try getting government perfected here first.
