Frankly I don't much care about Michael Brown one way or another beyond the fact that his death has shined the light on the Jack Booted Thugs of Government who think nothing of trampling our civil liberties through inappropriate use of force, bullying and verbal abuse. Often for no other reason then to raise money for their municipality. One down is TX gets 88% of their revenue from traffic tickets and civil forfeiture. How exactly do their actions preserve Liberty?
 
Deadly force guidelines are very specific and the amusing thing is that you find the highest use of deadly force among the local forces with the least training.
 
I have a pretty close friend who is a retired NY State Trooper and we have discussed this issue at length. I told him I was literally scared to death to be stopped by local poloice. His reply of "In a lot of cases you should be". Needless to say I was stunned at that reply.

The video evidence you provided was nothing more than the results of a Youtube search specifically looking for video evidence to support your narrative. Let me suggest that if I were to search Youtube for “acts of professionalism and civic support by police officers” I would find video evidence that for every bad cop there are thousands of good cops.
 
 
While you were busy looking for your video evidence of cop brutality on minorities, every day in America on average, 17 black citizens are killed by other black citizens . . . 6000 a year (nearly equal to all US combat fatalities incurred in both Afghanistan and Iraq over 13 year).  African Americans are the victims in about half of the homicides in America each year despite the fact that blacks represent only about 13 percent of the U.S. population. Where’s the outcry from Libertarians and the Left Wing hate machine?  One would think that these statistics would provoke the sort of protests that we’ve seen in Ferguson, but that is not the case. Nor does racial unrest automatically follow cases in which white police officers fatally shoot black criminal suspects. Only a small handful of such instances trigger outrage in the black community. Where’s the outcry from Libertarians and the Left Wing hate machine?
 
 
Eric Holder has dispatched 40 FBI agents to Furguson, agents of the Civil Rights Division who have but one objective and to quote Holder “to seek justice for the citizens of Ferguson. Seek justice for the citizens of Ferguson? How about just seeking Justice Mr. Holder!
 
As far as your comment regarding “for no other reason than to raise money for their municipality”, in the State of Pennsylvania, the revenue generated for the local municipality on an average $128 dollar speeding violation is $12 phucking dollars. That’s hardly worth the officer time to even make the stop. Are you're suggesting that the civil liberties of citizens in that small Texas town are being violated because the police abused their power by stopped them for violating a law?

People need to wake up and face the facts. Local Police forces are made up of people who couldn't pass the Psychological Tests to become FBI, ATF or State Police.
 
Where I used to live, I had my house broken into and stuff stolen FIVE times. NOTHING from the REO's (Revenue Enhancement Officers). Then lo and behold these morons show up and threaten to arrest my 17yr old stepkid for playing kicjball and the ball going into a neighbors yard. I ORDERED the officer off my property and to come back with either a search warrant, arrest warrant or failing that some of my household belongings stolen from the FIVE break-in's. I also let him know if he harassed the kid I'd see him in Federal Court. See we already had one cop fired for harassing a women by writing her 14 traffic citations because she filed a complaint against him for offering to cancel the tickets in exchange for oral favors. So don't lecture me about police.
 
Oh, did I mention the DUI Cop from Lacey Twp. who ran a stop sign and killed and entire family on Rte 9?

So...I'll bet you are one of those parents who's kid does no wrong. Like the teen who would speed up and down our street with no regard for the children walking home from the school bus. He made the mistake of nearly running me off the road. I followed him to his house rung the doorbell and his dad answered. The kid was standing behind his dad, laughing as I told the story. The father, rather than having the kid apologize, stuck his finger in my chest. The kid apologized as he saw his father in a compromised pretzel like position.

I never had a problem with that kid again.

So the thugs throwing Malakoff cocktails, firing guns and throw bottles of piss at police officers get a pass? How Libertarian of you! How about we all join together and demand that every law enforcement officer across America take the month of September off. Need help? Call a Libertarian, call a liberal . . . you’re on your own.
 
Did it ever cross that thick head of yours that the police didn’t, by accident just show up at your house to “harassed” you about your kids trespassing on someone’s property? Is it possible that the cops were responding to a call from your neighbor about your unsupervised kids being on his property? And furthermore, after being ORDERED to leave your property why on earth would a cop have any interest in investigating five burglaries at your home?
 
What I would do if I were you is not call the police to report the burglaries, but rather, call one of your fellow Libertarian friends and discuss the possibilities that if the police were to get involved in catching the perpetrators then their civil rights and liberties may be violated by use of excessive force.
 
Did I hear you right? Was that you, the promoter of civil liberties and freedom telling me not to exercise my 1st amendment right to freedom of speech? Don’t like my lecture? Don’t listen!

My "Kid" was my step kid and his mother was a heroin addict and ultimately so was he when I threw them out. I'll tell you what I told him. "You best be straight with me. If you are I'll back you up if you're right, however if you lie and are caught red handed then you're on your own" That's why even now after being clean and sober he retains a relationship with me and not his Mother. So WRONG again. Best stick to being one of Doug Parker's Butt Boys as that seems about all your capable of.
 
We had am incident here where a cop went "over the edge" and barricaded himself in his house with enough guns and ammo to take over a small 3rd world country. We have a regional SWAT team complete with a negotiator. The stressed out Cop (an Afghan war vet) came out unharmed on his own due to the professionalism of the SWAT team. The performance of the team was exemplary and frankly that is my expectation of all police. If you can't behave in an appropriate manner then you need to off the force. The thin blue line has been compromised to the point where a significant number of citizens don't trust or worse fear the Police. The days of "officer Friendly" are gone and it imperils the personal liberty of all of us.

Maybe because it's their JOB? The ball in the incident trespassed, followed by the minor child going to retrieve it. So now using you a__hole logic it is the job of the Police to arrest hardened Kickball trespassers, instead of investigate break ins. Truth is there is no MONEY in investigating breakins. However there is plenty of money in trespassing fines, traffic tickets and civil forfeiture which the Twp. Police are quite skilled at this and shoplifting.
