US AIRWAYS announced today that immediately , any military passenger who is on orders, will be allowed to check 1-3 Bags free of charge. The 4th bag will be 100.00. What is this going to do to weight restricted DASH8's out of express cities.
u r kidding right? These mil are most likely getting shipped out and all you care about is the w/b side of it? Kudos to US for finally realizing that chargin for the 3rd bag to MIL pax was embarrassing....most MIL check a seabag, a garment and another item when getting shipped out.US AIRWAYS announced today that immediately , any military passenger who is on orders, will be allowed to check 1-3 Bags free of charge. I think the post was concern about the express operation bumping bags and denying passengers boarding now that would sux for the military passengers. They should take 5 seats out of the dash 8 and just give every body more leg room. What is this going to do to weight restricted DASH8's out of express cities.
Wow, those poor oversold passengers in Fayetteville. 🙁US AIRWAYS announced today that immediately , any military passenger who is on orders, will be allowed to check 1-3 Bags free of charge. The 4th bag will be 100.00. What is this going to do to weight restricted DASH8's out of express cities.
I am glad to see the 3rd bag waived but it needs a QIK FIX already.
Hmm does 100 dollars make the 4th bag lighter.US AIRWAYS announced today that immediately , any military passenger who is on orders, will be allowed to check 1-3 Bags free of charge. The 4th bag will be 100.00. What is this going to do to weight restricted DASH8's out of express cities.
it states mil ON ORDERS...you shoulda made him pay...as it was obvious he wasnt taking those clubs with him "on orders"...I am not a fan of the nickel and dime regime either but can not stand those that scam....any problems...woulda called a shift manager...Checked in a guy and his wife each with three bags, He whips out his coast guard ID and says third bags are free. The third bags were golf bags, I guess he was defending Pebble Beach from invasion.
80 percent of the time they are not in uniform..I stand corrected though...they will eat it.The web site makes no mention of "On Orders" all it says is "Active Military" and if I were active military and US tried to do anything that isn't accurately reflected on the web site the news media would have a field day.
I mean really if a guy or gal shows up in uniform are you going to say, "May I see a copy of your orders" before you check them in?
