Easy for someone who has never been followed, harassed, pursued to dismiss someone else feeling threatened by that...
M was not a saint.
IF m ambushed Z, he was wrong.
IF there was an altercation of some sort that resulted in a knockdown dragout fight, they both were
We only heard one side of the story
However...
Would Z have pursued someone he thought was suspicious and dangerous if he was not carrying?
Yes he had the right to carry. Yes he was acquitted of murder for shooting a man who was kicking his ass.
Looking only at that point, correctly.
Those are not the questions.
He was not trained in police work.
Any cop would have called for backup.
The question is...
Would he have pursued a suspicious dangerous man into the darkness if he too was unarmed?
If the answer is no, ( and what do you think it would be if he was honest? )then the gun emboldened him, or, gave him courage to "do something" that hw otherwise wouldn't have.
There was no one in imminent danger, until Z put himself there
There was not even a property crime in progress, that "needed to be stopped"
Acquitted of murder, and I trust the jury's judgement on the case.
Still, Pussy with a gun vigilanteism run amok, when the (not very smart, btw...) "tough guy" decided to take on more than he could handle.
