TWU ask for release

Well at least we started the clock that starts the clock.
HERE HERE! This should help to end the blatant stall tactics being employed by AA. Now they will have to go to the "stall lite" plan.

I thought a strike vote was taken first, then if the membership votes to strike we then ask for a release.

Would be nice if we actually had full details of what has been pased and discussed for the last 2 years. Secret Negotations serve no purpose in my opinion. Somehow I can't believe this is anything more than some sinister ploy by the TWU. But time will tell.

Ploy or not, its time. This has gone on long enough for all work groups. I for one want to see the company thrive and survive, however not with my family subsidizing that end. There was a time when I and some of my coworkers would have settled for some middle ground. That is gone. Restore us to our previous agreement retro-active to May 2008. Being a generous type I would be fine with that being a 4 year deal from the amendable date. I find it hard to believe they can replace TWU workers and flight attendants. Now if the APA would also ask for a release we could be looking at something historic. Folks now is the time for all 3 unions on property to come together. Where is that leader we need to bring us ALL together as one voice. The voice of the lifeblood of this company. God bless each and every one of us. Good luck.

And look who posted in the comments section. Flatline. Hey look Flatline if you don't have a set of your own get out of our way. If you really need a buck that bad I'll give you a dollar a week myself. I've read some of your posts. Have you gone through life being a quitter? You should go to MIA or LGA for awhile and maybe they can teach you what it's like to be in a union?

Regarding a strike vote for maintenance. I asked all of the people in my dept and no one can remember being asked to vote at a union meeting or getting a ballot to vote on a strike. Someone shed some light on this.

I guess you should have asked who goes to all or any of the meetings first.
