Got my phone survey call this evening (and certified letter from TWU). They just wanted to know if I had received the latest mailout. I did. He asked if the material cast a favorable view of the TWU. Since I had it in my hand when he called I said it was full of proven outright lies. He didn't seem to understand because he kept asking if I favored the TWU or AMFA. HELLO!!! After plainly stating I had leaned full tilt toward AMFA he said have a nice evening. I suppose these phone beatings will continue untill morale improves. Rob

I received the call today, they've called 5 times and finally got to ask me If I had read the same mailout.
When I asked the caller if she was a member of the TWU? She said "no, but I work for the TWU".
THAT MEANS OLY ONE THING!!!...It's another PR COMPANY!!! Oh man I had fun with the call. I was polite with the Lady simply because she's just doing her job.
She asked if I had any questions....OOPS, shouldn't have asked me that one.
After listening for about 5 minutes she said that a more informed person would call back with some answers. Told her that would be great if Gary, Bobby or Sonny would call back. Maybe they can answer my questions. I hope one of them calls, the tape recorder is ready!!!

She asked me which union I prefer. That question alone brings up a question in itself. The TWU advocates say we do not have the cards and the cards we do have are expiring, we are dead in the water, and what ever else they can think up. Now why in the world would the TWU want to know how we would vote if they actually believe we do not have the cards???? Seems the TWU advocates actually believe a different story than they are leading on!!!

I got my phone call this afternoon and promptly asked the man calling if he was a member of the twu or worked for a company hired by the twu. He informed me that he worked for a company hired by the twu. I told him what the twu has done to me by forcing a 17.5% paycut on me, taking a weeks vacation from me stealing my sick tiime from me and then insulting me by paying the first 2 days at half pay. I then asked the caller if they would choose twu representation for them selves after that had happened to them.He reluctantly admitted that he would not choose the twu to represent him if they did that to him.

Well I got the phone call today. I tell you that I was surprised at some of the answers to my questions. First off let me tell you that if the TWU is not concerned about this AMFA drive they would not be conducting this survey and the mailouts.
So anyway, I asked the guy on the phone if he worked for the TWU local 514, He said no.
I asked him if he was a AA member of aircraft maintenance, he said no.
I asked him if he was a non-union member of AA, he said no.
I asked him if he was hired by the TWU to conduct this survey? He hesitated a bit and tried to change the tone of the conversation but then admitted he was hired by the TWU to get opinions about the TWU and AMFA.
I told him I was not interested in giving him my opinion about how I will vote or feel about the TWU. This is my personal opinion. It seems that the TWU is spending a whole bunch of the memberships money to conduct this survey. It appears to me that the TWU is worried about their cash cow coming to an end. I guess CIO was right in all his posts about this AMFA drive and the card count. Lets see........... Not enough cards, cards are expiring on a daily basis and so on... Right CIO?? Is that the way you see it?
