Why is this in the USAirways forum? Because PHX is the hub, so I figured I'd ask if any pilots saw what so many people on the ground reported....

KTAR - People are looking for an explanation for mysterious red lights that appeared in the north Phoenix sky Monday night, reminiscent of a similar event 11 years ago.

Dozens of listeners called News/Talk 92-3 KTAR just after 8 p.m. reporting they were watching the four mystery lights.

``From my position, it looked like they were just hanging, not moving at all," said one man, who called 92-3's ``Gaydos After Dark." He said he ``absolutely" saw something....

Well that HQ building IS filled with pod people so....... Maybe there was a big meeting.

It was the leading news story on most channels here in PHX last night. What a joke. It's not like this city doesn't have bigger issues/news. Yeah, UFOs over Phoenix.

If we pay them enough could we convince the aliens to abduct Dougie and Scooter? For an extra $25 maybe they'd take Ms. Shambles too.

UFOS??? Horse Hockey.

It was one of two things:

1. A group of Air Force pilots from Area 51 out for a joy ride in some new toy... or

2. PineyBob has started his perfect airline and wanted to show off to Doug and Scott

Oddly enough, similar reports have come out of Florida, as well.

I'm not trying to stir the pot and encourage crack pot alien theories, but I don't believe for a second that the military would be testing out new hardware at night over a populated area in the vicinity of people and airline congestion. There are dedicated military operation areas, some of which are restricted, where that kind of aerial activity can be performed.

The main point of the thread, in this forum, was to see if any USAirways pilots have seen unidentified <flying> objects reported in this report.

I'm so sorry...I paused Microsoft Flight Simulator on my virtual transcon SFO-MIA flight over PHX and MCO...That would account for the 4 red lights 😉

this is probably the stupidest thread ever...

get rid of it...

no such thing..

LOL

I'm with the area 51 vote. Could've been a "janet" flight out of las gone astray...most probably governmental.

As for the non exhistence...there's some pretty good shots on google earth...I have personally seen the huge black triangles reported in Belgium...these have red lights in certain areas of the "craft" or "ships"?? Whatever they are ...they are huge, super huge.

As far as US Air, former AWA pilots were involved in a UFO sighting which was well documented along with military support. The pilots of the a/c have since retired.

Must every thread devolve into mud slinging? Are you all really that limited?

Discovery channel just aired the HP sighting a couple of nights ago, it was kind of interesting...

It is a sign before the Big announcement. It is prophecy being fulfilled

😀

That occured to me as well  But semi-seriously folks = UFO's?...Puhleeaze. Let's assume the existence of far more actual technology and knowledge within other, much older (and hopefully, much wiser) species in deep space. WHY "on earth" would they want to fly around at "low level" here?...To essentially just take their kids to the zoo? 🙄 We, as utterly primitive as we yet are, can make out tremendous detail even from our orbital spy devices. Let's also note that we put F-117's over B-Dad without them being detected by the enemy, stealth/etc..and..umm...spacecraft traveling vast oceans of unimaginable void feel some perverse need to "show off" in the atmosphere?..being visually observable?..and placing themselves within the reach of our weapons?..presumably knowing that one of our very favorite, and easilly observable activities, is mutual slaughter?....much less without otherwise communicating in ANY way?...Sure....makes perfect sense.
