United needs more nonstop flights to san diego from dulles airport!

United doesn't have any aircraft to add any more service.Otherwise we would be flying to Madrid. Our CEO took the money for the new aircraft. Delta airlines decided to grow the company in/out of bankruptcy unlike our CEO.

Sorry, the following assertions simply have no relationship to the FACTS!

Our CEO took the money for the new aircraft.
The vast majority of Tilton's compensation was not in cash but rather in stock and stock options, a significant portion of which won't vest for a few years. How many airplanes do you think Boeing or Airbus would sell to United for about $39 million in stock and stock options? (Hint: the number is less than one.)

Delta airlines decided to grow the company in/out of bankruptcy unlike our CEO.
This is totally incorrect as Delta merely shifted widebody capacity from inefficient domestic service to much more efficient long-haul international flights that these planes were truly designed to serve. At the same time, Delta's fleets of B737-200s, B737-300s and MD-90s were retired or returned to lessors. The combined effect of these actions caused the following changes in Delta's systemwide 2006/2005 year-over-year results, with United's changes shown for comparison purposes (from each carrier's SEC Form 10-K filings for 2006):

RPMs - Delta -3%, United +3%
ASMs - Delta -6%, United +2%
PAX Revenues - Delta +7%, United +13%
Total Revenues - Delta +6%, United +12%

So tell me again, which airline grew faster in 2006?

Sorry to ruin your rant with some inconvenient facts but, IMHO, it's intellectually dishonest to spread baseless innuendo and rumors when the facts indicate the exact opposite to be true.
