These are all great ideas. I would never put my dog in the cargo hold of any plane. All on-board oxygen does, is delay flights. Kids traveling alone on only direct or non stop flights is also a great idea. That is one less baby sitting service that has to be handled at the hubs. Keep up the good work AWA. It's about time we cleaned house of all our past bad ideas.

that you would allow your child to travel alone
with that type of mentality? Only an irresponsible
parent would even consider letting a child like
that travel alone.

I applaud the decision. With the paycuts that we have endured in the mainline/express arena, the less we have to do or worry about the better. I have a list of other things we should dump also....

to it. Once US/HP are able to lower the bar
to WN levels, any service will meet their

Read your own post "lower the bar". Very few businesses get successful lowering the bar. Problem is Southwest doesn't fly Int'l and we do. US Airways will never be Southwest and they shouldn't try. The fact that they are trying to be more like Southwest just proves to me this is a very flawed business plan. Anyway, it's not my problem for much longer as I am leaving for greener pastures and a company that knows what matters. Good luck to you guys.

Spin...if you havnt noticed..U flies internationally..to europe..we have A-330's..767's...LCC's usually fly 737's only...we are not SOUTHWEST..EasyJet or JetBlue..and U will never be. We take pride in our first class and coach service..so if ya want trash..U is not where you should be.

Flown as a customer recently? We're an even worse version of WN in many aspects. At least with the company publicly lowering the expectations, we'll be able to give better than expected service like the other LCCs!

The aircraft was clean, the interiors were very nice, not ratty. FAs were friendly and I bought a BOB with a croissant. I certainly didn't see it as a version of WN. The girl sitting next to me was a cutie. Her parallel universe counterpart on WN would have been some trailer hag with a snaggle tooth.
