What's new

US Airways stock is lower than Delta!

And DL has about 3 times as many shares outstanding as US - making DL's market cap $4.92 Billion vs US' $1.65 Billion.

Yes, it traded at an all time low today for a while. I finished up the day after heavy trading at 18.04 just above the low for the year. In fact, this month last year it was trading at it's highest since the marriage was announced.

The cretins in Tempe deserve their fate.

The employees that work for them don't. But they're the ones who will suffer most. Look for layoffs and jet parking in the near future.

And the West is about to find out just what kind of people they work for. Had the merger not happened when it did they would have already been parking about 25% of their fleet. The east operation bought them time. But now watch what happens.

Who is worse the incompetent thiefs in Tempe, or the idiotic members of the board that just renewed the contracts?

Even if you think Doug is great because of the amount of money he has been able to steel, he has run off most of the LOYAL FF's that have been the rock of this airline for years. He has replaced this group with flip flop wearing passengers, that will not buy tickets once they are layed off from their local Wall Mart.
On top of that, he wants to merge with another airline, in order to cash in again. Ok fine then why did he order so many Airbus'? No other airline in this country wants the 350. All other airlines are getting the Boeing. So what is the motivation to merge with Airways?

Labor, he screwed around playing games on joint contracts for almost two years, now with Nic, he will never get one as it is now.

The Res system

PHL

This team has failed in everything except padding their own pockets, I have very serious doubts that this company will be around very long without some kind of outside intervention.

Nobody will feel it here in the west. All of us have our second jobs to fall back on haha.

I feel very bad for you guys in the East. This has been a career thing... One of instability and hardship, and it sounds like jobs are pretty scarce out there. I'm sorry you have all had a career dealing with bubble heads who get their piece of the pie then fly.

I think as long as this place makes enough money for the top brass to line their pockets will still be in business. How ever I think were still headed for the end thanks to A-WEST and it's wonderful management!!

Time to pull the rabbit out of the hat. Announce the stock buyback plan.

LCC is down almost 10% on the day so far, to about $15.85 right now, a new low, for a market cap of just under $1.5 billion.

DAL is down more than 6%, as are most legacies. DAL's market cap just under $4.3 billion.

Combined market caps of DAL and LCC of less than $5.8 billion.

Calm down everyone, calm down. Stop being so negative ok? We are in the process of unveiling a NEW beverage cart coupled with new meals served on 2% of our flights. The stock WILL rise. We're doing great. 🙄

Add the recently announced $50 million interior upgrades and everything is pretty rosy. 😀

Gee.. What happened to all the synergy?

Merger refinancing/restructuring does not create long term value, it creates short term illusion. You see, the right hand side of balance sheet changed, but the left hand side stayed the same. The left hand side (the assets for you know nothings) creates the value, or in the case of LCC destroys the value. Same crappy people, same crappy planes, same crappy results.

The only transformation that happened with LCC was on paper. LCC needed an operational overhaul, they needed a human resources overhaul, and in two years Kirby and Parker got niether accomplished. Why do you think doogie is drinking and driving? He knows he failed, now its all about how to bow out and save some face.

My puts are now through the roof, but I still feel bad for rank and file employees who really got the shaft. Doogie made millions.
