WOMAN DIES
Thrown from horse
A Friday-afternoon horseback ride in Warrington Township turned deadly for a township woman when the animal became spooked, state police said.
Julia Lynn Smith, 55, of the 300 block of Boring Bridge Road, was riding west along that road about a half-mile west of Bull Road when the horse threw her to the pavement, troopers said.

Smith was pronounced dead at the scene. She died of multiple injuries to her head and neck, according to York County Deputy Coroner Claude Stabley, who ruled the death accidental.

Smith was a flight attendant with U.S. Airways in Philadelphia, according to an obituary.

This is tragic, but the danger is inherent. Last year we had a neighbor die from the same thing.
Prayers for her family and friends.
