What, are they taking away people's water bottles? I find that a little hard to believe given that company-sanctioned training material on summer ops outlines procedures to avoid heat-related illness and specifically promotes the consumption of water.

Yeah and apple sauce and yogurt and Spaghetti-o's and peanut butter. In PHX we have ice machines and purified water dispensers (and vending machines) in each of the break rooms and drinking fountains ramp side. On days over 100 degrees we have the juice cart what drives around with water and Gatorade (milk is a bad choice). If you don't have these implements to free hydration you should by any and every means press for them.
