What's wrong you ask?...it's simple, CO is intersted in running an airline , instead of cheapening it to the point that a takeover or merger looks attractive down the road. That's my opinion.

CO's leadership is also doing what the term implies...they are setting the tone and leading by example..un-like another certain floundering airline so-called leaders are.

IMHO?

Rank Amateurs running this Dog and Pony show..

If they WERE SMART< and we all know the answer to that?

They would add Cle Bos /Lga..
Increase routes, oops, I forgot that would add jobs and employees...

Zero for me, And more for them
How silly I thought of that!

Board members are not executives--most board members are outside people--did they cut the MANAGEMENT salaries????

I agree something like this should have happened here, but is this a fair comparison?

Art,

"Already, Kellner and President Jeff Smisek have cut their base salaries 25 percent and turned down their 2004 bonuses. Other officers have agreed to 20 percent salary cuts."

Story Here

Jim

Usairways had already cut incentives and bonuses, as well as managements salaries. You guys keep rumors alive and well. Daves salary was substantially less than wolfs and lakefields is less than Daves. Usairways is way ahead of most in the industry in these areas. Its amazing some get away with spreading this crap!

Wrong, they did not cut incentives and bonuses, and why don't you tell us how much of a paycut CEO Bruce Lakefield took?

Lets see Kellner took 25% and was all ready making less then Bruce's $425,000 a year.

And remember I will give you 1% if you give me 4%.

Dave was making $750,000 then $600,000 funny Neeleman and Kelleher from B6 and WN both made less then $300,000 a year and their companies were and still are profitible.

Don't let the facts get in your way.

The Investigators: Turbulence at US Airways

By STUART WATSON / 6NEWS

Many folks, not just employees of US Airways, are angry that the CEO of US Airways isn't taking the same pay cuts as the pilots, the gate agents, the flight attendants and the ramp workers.

This article says it all, shows how greedy CEOs are.

USFLIBOI,

You are starting to give weasels a bad name!!

How dare you defend these robber barons that have stolen about everything they could from the very employees who gave their best years to this company

Your head is so far up management that you cannot see the light of day

I pity you......imbecile 😛

Corporate America at it's finest. Another nail in the coffin of the middle class blue collar workers

No, they are just drinking the same koolaide......

Bruce Lakefield is paid below market rates for an airline CEO. Moreover, David Neeleman's cash and incentive pay has net the man over $200 million in market value in five years.

Not bad...

Personally, I want the company to pay its executives as much as possible to get the best talent possible. Why? I want the company to earn as large as profit as possible so the company can grow, recall employees, and provide the highest profit sharing checks possible.

The profound difference being that Dave Neeleman is leading a company which is making money. And Dave Neeleman is not asking his employees to take pay cut after pay cut and still running at an operational loss.
