Usairways Sick Out

Last time I checked, if US goes under the cash covenants, they're out of business. If more money is wasted, that wiggle room that exists right goes bye-bye. My prediction is that Wachovia will be filing to take some A320s from your fleet and placing them somewhere else. Once one creditor puts their hand out, the rest will want to jump ship as well. Bye Bye.

Any company with good leadership can overcome this.

Look at McNeil Pharmaceuticals did after Tylenol.

Union Carbide after Bopol.

Valujet after the Everglades crash.

They are ways to fix this, but Ole Doc Bronner needs to make some sweeping changes and make overtures to the workforce to unite with management instead of being at each other's throats all the time.

The 2nd and 8th floor of CCY needs some serious house cleaning.

McNeil took a hit that US would not have been able to survive but were in good shape going in so they survived. Union Carbide? Get real. While I dont agree with this from an ethical standpoint when it comes to US public relations or cash those people in Bhopal dont count for much. What did they pay out, like $350 per victim? If that had happened in Denver Carbide would have been toast in months. There isnt time for housecleaning. This is the team, management and labor that will make US survive or not. Thats probably enough said.

This team will lose the game, they are clueless.

Just looking at the posts and the cost to deliver the bags is just another expample of our inept mgmt. 50 to 75 per bag, this is what they give an outside vender to deliver. Meanwhile back at the ranch they refuse to pay any kind of livable wage to the people who are here everyday.
