Velvet sat in on the meetings with management when they were discussing the new policies. She didn't do a damn thing to intervene and or give the information to local presidents or anyone else about what was going on. She decided on her own that these policies were in our best interest. Who in the hell is she? Where did she get the authority to make these decisions? She held on to this information until the last minute, then released it to the locals. Making it to late too try and negotiate anything!!!! She should be employed by US Airways because that's whose ass she is kissing. She must be getting a kick back from the company. Something under the table, my dear Velvet.........She needs to go. Did she not think that someone would figure out what's going on. Traitor is too good for her. Goodbye Velveteen.....

Either she has to go, or, more radically, a new union be formed. Something HAS to give.

Velvet is CWA political hack appointee by CWA president Larry Cohen. She collects a six figure salary from your union dues and has a fondness for donuts.

She basically does nothing, allows the company to walk all over our contract ( done any PDQ's lately ) and is too good to even answer your calls or e-mails.

She needs to go. Every station needs to petition Cohen to get rid of her.

Back on topic, however, if there is some sort of movement to separate from the CWA, or at least show the CWA how displeased we are with their performance, put the link up here! And email the link to fellow members. The CWA, unlike the IAM, is doing next to nothing about this. And something NEEDS to be done!

Velvet knew about the Attendance control program in JULY but didn't release it to the Union Presidents in time for negotiations. The only thing she brought up was the Level III issue. She got the company to reduce it from 18 months to 12 months. There are quite a few violations within this new policy. She didn't bother to bring any of them up. Why??? Because she doesn't care. She takes care of RES and that's it. She was appointed by Larry Cohen. So she's in his pocket. She seems to side with the company all the time. Apparently she's taking some sort of bribe from someone in US Airways. She's got it made. It's too bad that our union dues pay her six figure salary. Don't forget her expense account, vehicle and cell phone. I'm glad I can contribute so she can continue to stab us in the back every chance she gets. When we need an arbitrator, she goes with who the company wants. Love you Velvet!!!! Apparently when she calls for meetings that take place in Las Vegas/Florida, etc. its one big party for her. Something that can be done in 1 day turns into 3. Party on Velvet.... Again happy to pay for this. She needs to GO..........................
