Agreed, I'm not sure what his point is of this review. IMO he lost a bit of credibility saying how advanced the DL system is, he must not get out on OALs very often. The system on DL is hardly new and has been around now for nearly two years on the 744. Compared to other Panasonic offerings that are being employed by other carriers the DL systems falls considerably short but is still adequate and provides a reasonable assortment of content.
At my Airbus qualification training, I learned that Thales is pronounced Tall-ess… I felt pretty dumb for saying it like it rhymed with "jails" this whole time, lol.
