Vortex Generators

Since I'm not a student of advanced aerodynamics, I thought I would let those with a few extra brain cells explain this...Are there any practical uses for boundary layer control devices on helicopter blades? If not, why?

That's me!

Not used on rotor blades for a whole host of reasons that I don't have the time, gumption, or knowledge to get in to. Mostly due to changing flow over the airfoil and funky things happening when the blade is over the nose and tail. Way out of my league.

The closest we get are swept tips, shaped tips, and 'burp' tips.
