What's new

We have a bingo

I am talking about Blackwater making mercenaries making 3 times what we pay our US soldiers. BW is making the money and BW is owned by W contributer.

Yes Cheney said it back in 91 and what happened in 2002 was exactly what he said would happen.

The unstable ME is the biggest contributer to the increased oil prices IMO. Demand did not increase by 400% in 6 years.

Look into it and you'll find a couple pages of Spec ops guys doing the same think as BW all over the friggin world and I bet some of them were W contributors....so what?

Maybe 2002 but 2008 things are looking quite different.

So with all this speculative oil futures trading and all,it would be good for stability to come to such an instable region.....Duh...democracy in Iraq?Everyone else sees what freedoms the others have and then they want it.....won't happen over nite...but its a start. 😱

Oil is worth around $54 a barrel give or take...you gotta oil price bittch,do something about futures trading.

What's different? The same people were in power. The same people lived there. The results that her predicted are exactly what happened.

The US should not be in the business of usinf hired guns to protect US personnel especially at a rate 3 times what we pay our own soldiers to do.

Sure stability would be nice in the ME. I'd like to be rich and sprout wings. What the hell does what we would like have to so with anything based in reality? Cheney and W screwed up in Iraq and now we all get screwed as a result.

How did you leave James Buchanan off your list?
You could probably fit half the presidents on the list for one reason or another. I kind of like the ones who didn't try to 'leave their mark on society'. I would love to see our government rolled back to within the limits set for it in the constitution.

The Supreme Court really hasn't needed any help in realigning its power. It was set up as the weakest branch and has, over time, become the strongest. Some presidents, like Buchanan, have helped it on its path, but the Supremes have done pretty well for themselves.
A good book on the subject: Men in Black

I think our next worst president will be Obama.
I don’t see the Dems running Hillery. She’s too divisive, and I think they know that her presence on the ballot will get a lot of anti Clinton voters to the polls.
The Reps have sent McCain packing, what, 4 times already? They just don’t want anybody that can give liberal lessons to Teddy Kennedy, and the only chance McCain has is if Hillery runs. I think the reason you don’t see any real contenders on the Republican side is that they know, thanks to Bush, it would be a lost cause for this go-around.
OBAMA: I think he’ll get the nomination, and win the position, by default. I also think he’ll be seen by the rest of the world much like J.F.K. or Carter was, and that we *will* be attacked. Dirty bomb, biological, chemical, … I don’t know, but I don’t think it will be pretty.
If that does happen? Watch out for a Lincoln type Republican to be running in the next election.

The Republicans would have been so much better off if they had given the nomination to McCain in 2000. There would have been no Florida mess because he would have beaten Gore by a lot more than Bush.

It appears that someone has been drinking Rush Kool-Aid. Tell you what, GWB could give the most spend crazy liberal lessons. That's because GWB spends money like a drunken sailor on shore leave. A true conservative is a deficit hawk. As we have seen from Bush he is anything but.

I hope all you libbers get the Obama enema.

'W' will be seen as hero when the dust settles.....

64° 49' N 147° 52' W 😀

We have been stuck with the W colostomy bag for 7 years. I think it's about time for a change.

Never thought I would see the words W and hero in the same sentence.

Funny..do you recall much,if any mention of this in the "Dem controlled media"??

Duh

Still, polls show that in many African countries, Bush is more popular than he is at home, and for good reason. His $15-billion AIDS program has provided antiretroviral treatment to more than 1.33 million people in sub-Saharan Africa, and he has committed unprecedented sums to fight malaria and other diseases on the continent. On Wednesday, he added to the list by announcing a $350-million plan to fight such ignored scourges as elephantiasis and river blindness. His Millennium Challenge Corp. was justifiably criticized in the early going for being slow to release money, but has now announced 16 grants, including nine worth a total of $3.8 billion to African countries (the George Bush Motorway is a product of one such grant). Bush also has done more to speak out against the genocide in Darfur than any other world leader.

Say what you will , but the guy has class...
