Not sure how you arrived at that conclusion (although I am not surprised) but it seems to me that he was of the opinion that our problems are a matter of spending and revenue. Something that the republicans/tp's failed to recognize in this last debate.
2.2 TRILLION Collected/Confiscated is quite enough money for the Federal Government. Remember it's OUR money not theirs, We The People tell or should tell the feds, "Here's what you have to spend deal with it the gravy train is over". Which essentially is the tea party message in one sentence. However we have the MSM, the parasite class, the political class and of course the current spender in chief all aligned, looking for ways to loot the Treasury. The concept of living within their means is so foreign to them that they will say anything, do anything to discredit everyone and anyone who dare offer a differing opinion.
Frankly they remind me of heroin addicts. The disease of addiction will do ANYTHING to protect itself. The above mentioned are addicted only their addiction is spending and the power that goes with it. Try to take the drug away and what you get are the vile, venom filled attacks on the Tea Party. In the 2010 midterm elections the citizens of this country held what amounted to an intervention and the loved one so far at least hasn't been willing to into Rehab. Now we are on the same path every addict finds themselves. Two choices, Recovery or Death, which parh will we choose?
When it comes to cutting spending their can be no sacred cows or sacrificial lambs. The government must ask one question of every department or program, "Is it Nice or is it Necessary"? For example is Social Security Nice or Necessary? On that one the answer is obvious. The military with world policing capability? Nice but not Necessary. Departments of Education, Labor, Agriculture, FDA, HUD are all nice but mostly unnecessary. Obviously the list goes on and their is no valid reason that Government shouldn't be made to live like the average citizen, from paycheck to paycheck
