has anyone heard if the company is planning to return any phx/las service to msy? this market was served by hp prior to katrina but they elected not to serve it afterwards.......

Haven't heard anything in the works for West flights back to MSY. Sure miss it though, I was non-reving that market. The trip now involves a dog leg to CLT or PHL just to get to the big EZ now. No fun.

Can't believe there isn't ANY nonstop service to PHX and LAS. Service to both cities should be Added IMMEDIATELY and Baton Rouge (where many of the locals migrated) should be considered. What does Team Tempe need.......an invitation to get the message? Boneheads. But they want to Go To CHINA..........ROTFLMAO! (Isn't GOING TO HAPPEN )

Those flights were packed prior to Katrina... both from LAS and PHX. Those overnights were comprable to "good old days"... Loved 'em!

I "heard" that we never restarted service due to lack of aircraft. Who knows the real reason. Wish we would go back but alas I guess it was easier to give that business to Southwest.

From the many MSY commuters I spoke to since Katrina, they all said the same thing. Once the airport reopened, USAirways was the absolute last to offer any service at all to anywhere. Every other airline was up and running full bore before USAirways reopened their station.

A few years back we operated LGA-BDA service which was very popular. When a hurricane blew through BDA, the service was suspended until BDA got back on its feet. BDA has been at 100% for years now, but the LGA-BDA service has not returned.

Just like our transcon flights JFK-LAX, BOS-LAX and such...we had FULL flights everyday but the company pulled them because they were not making any $??

Clearly, you had a different hotel than we have now. Be careful what you wish for! But, if y'all want them, you can have them. On the up side, the hotel staff is very nice, it's just the musty smell, toxic mold, and gosh awfull B.F.E. location that gets you.

Just had the MSY overnite......very nice property of "The PIE Origins"....totally refurbished and nice Staff. Some people may not like the location but there is plenty within walking distance. Key is GET OUT OF THE ROOM 🙄 Service needs to resume to PHX and LAS. Inspite of what happened down there two years ago the locales have NOT LOST THAT CAJUN SPIRIT. Love MSY!

I totally agree. While the area is not much to be desired and certainly no impression of New Orleans there are places you can walk to. As for the hotel it's VERY nice, clean and the people are very nice. That damn van doesn't run late though. If you get in I think after 12 your in a cab baby. Happened to me two times now.
