b/c the company is really bending you over by lieing about fuel prices and a horrendous economy? This industry has never faced tougher pressures.

Where is his post does he imply the company is lying?

To dismiss out of hand that there will be layoffs (which is what Come Fly With Me was alluding to) is ridiculous. Airline employees nation-wide should brace for what's coming. Period.
 
It will be mostly rank and file, lower paid employees that will take the hit. All this over oil prices. A shame.

Maybe the long rumored retirement packages will arrive...

Well, they better be more lucrative than the last ones they offered (meaning more severance $$ and at least partial health care premiums paid) or no one's going to take them. And if no one takes them, then unfortunately, they would be furloughing from the bottom again.

Maybe ..YOU..should "WAKE the F*** UP", and realize that that "southern GEM", with their Southern Mentality, is NOT the "BIG BOY" you work for, or root for !!!!!

With tricky DICK's revelation..."stay tuned for COMPREHENSIVE CHANGES", the odds that the NW pilots (now) want any dealings with DL, are IMHO, slim to none. Plus the NW pilots KNOW ALL TO WELL, that as NxNW has stated so very clearly here, the OTHER employees of BIG RED, will have a LOT to say about anything to do with DL !!!

DL(IMHO) got into the "BIG BOY league to late !!(remember SOUTHERN CONSERVATISM).
DL has for years, been an Over sized Domestic carrier, and operated just that way, by some real F***ING darlings as CEO's(Ron Allen where are you these days)(LEO-the light bulb-Mullin, GREAT handling of the 777 FIASCO) !!!

With hardly any fuel hedged, How much Jet-A do you think that they are having to BUY in JFK, for ALL those 767's, going over the pond DAILY ? PLENTY I suspect !!! Wait till Oil goes to $120 bbl. AND IT WILL, then Maybe Anderson will be wishing that he stayed at UHC 😱

Oh, and getting back to those "HOT" JFK routes, I don't doubt that they are Making money, I really Don't.....BUT with OIL going through the roof of that NASTY JFK terminal of DL's, in the end, you are, or shortly will be...LOOSING money operating them.
Maybe you've RECENTLY given it some thought. Maybe you've said to yourself,...Hmmmm, I wonder WHY, AA, especially with that HUGE new terminal, does'nt FLOOD the NY market with a ZILLION flights "like WE do" :down: (OUCH, I hate like HEL* to have to PAY DL's JFK fuel bill) .

What can I say Luke, except that, if you DO work for DL, I hope that when DICKYS.."Stay TUNED" proclamation comes to fruition, that YOU don't get ensnared in it !

Here's an honest question: With no CBA's (save the pilots) in place, what's to stop DL from furloughing from the top down?

Yes the company and their goons are nothing but liars. If you don't believe me just check out this site. It will show you that Richard and Ed received more stock this month. Don't always believe the hipe.

Nothing is "to stop" them, However when have they EVER furloughed ANYONE from the TOP down?
just a scare tactic...

I believe otherwise. If fuel remains high, you don't think NW will excellerate the grounding of the DC-9's
defer new A/C and pull out of certain cities?

If they don't react quickly, Delta won't be the one taking their name, history and HQ away from them. It will
be at their own doing. Called Chap 7.

We will all see what airline has the best business plan to remain flying, and which one will be grounded.
