What If?

What if politicians where held accountable?
What if lobbyists would be eliminated?

Answer: The International Bankers would kill the b*stard who got those laws/rules changed.

What if Ron Paul had ever actually won a primary?

His numbers keep growing. Let's see! I honestly never thought he would get this far. He's starting to resonate with more older people. He gets about half the vote under 30. Long way to go and there are no guarantees. I'm a very BIG fan, but I'm a realist too. He's taking on a pretty big and entrenched power structure. Can he make it? At best it's even money. However if he gets the nomination we are all going to have one nasty election.

What if he toned down some of his views in order to be more "Mainstream"?

He already has, that is why he isn't running as the LP candidate.

Mellowed perhaps but way not toned down. A bit more polished in presentation but no significantly different. I've been a Libertarian since Ed Clarck ran for President back in 1980 IIRC and before them I was a member of the Constitutional Party in PA. So I'm probably a little better versed historically then most Ron Paul supporters, since in many cases they weren't even born yet.

I'm far less interested in if he wins then I am his growing and helping to ensure that what the MSM is calling the Liberty Movement continues long after Ron Paul is worm food. Between the Liberty Movement, Teat Party and Occupy Wall Street there is enough discontent with the Parasite Republicrat Political Class to get some real and very positive change.

The difference between Principle and Practical is a dilemma many face. Whether to accept what you believe to be wrong versus denying your family a few extras. It's a tough choice and it's one I've had to make twice now.

Personally I decided to accept the EITC and unemployment because frankly I want my money that was in my mind immorally confiscated by the jack booted thugs of the IRS. So for me it was evening the score if you will. Frankly if there was no personal income tax I'd have said no because I would have had enough savings and investments to tide me over.

So you slime a man barely making it at a job paying 39K?

Hmm I wonder who's paying for the College Education? I may not have a lot, however what I have I EARNED.

You're entitled to breathe! Everything else you have to earn.

How did I "slime" anyone? I posted an article. By copying the headline and a link.

As for the comment from Sparrow, I pay for my own education. No grants, etc. when I went to A&P school, I landed a job as the janitor, cleaning th bathrooms and buffing floors after class to pay for my tuition and have a little spending money.

You are barking up the wrong tree.
