What Landed At Phl Today Around 5pm?

I saw a BIG grey or olive A/C with lots of wheels, wing on top of the body and a horizontal stabilizer. Looked Russian.

Probably an Antonov something or other. I believe they come in once a month or so to pick up freight. Not exactly sure but they could also be picking up parts from the Boeing factory just west of the field

About once a month a C-17 picks up a V-22 from the Boeing plant at PHL. Today Pres Bush was at Boeing so AirForce One was probably at PHL too.

That's close, but it had a horizontal stabilizer on the tail and winglets. Looked big and wierd.

nothing unusual on the schedules so it's probably the C-17 coming back to pick up the presidential vehicles. I saw the C-17 myself right around that time.

Also could be a C141, they also accompany the Presidential group.

Those things are IMPRESSIVE. My first house was under the flight path for Andrews and probably two times a week or thereabouts you would hear the slow steady growl of the one of the Globemasters or a C-5 on climbout - maybe 10,000 feet or so. The engine sound was unmistakable.
