Has this become a 'rotary types only' site? With little exception, there seems to be paltry action on most of the threads outside 'Helicopter Operations.' Have the 'seized rotor' troops gone back to Canadian Aviation or just faded away?

well, looking thru some other threads, it's hard to say if the cold lake airshow and the bell bbq, have (or have not) taken everybody away from here.

Some days I even wonder if the helicopter guys have departed, but it tis the season to fill the bank account, so it doesn't surprise me to hear less from them at this point. I have no excuse for the fixed wing guys...

If you want a real eye opener, go thru the members and compare how may members there are vs how many actually post something. There is a small core of die hards, and a huge amount of voyeurs.

DW : Canadian av is a dead site I belive some people have gone to the NZ site

Jetbox, You have to ask the people who have left.

Nothing else to say I just wanted to make post # 400.

coming up to day 1 of holidays. i plan to hit the Bell BBQ then go up to Cold Lake to babysit an aircraft at the show. The Wx in YYC sucks!!! 8 deg & raining now I see the centre of the Low is right over Cold Lake 😱
sometimes I wonder why I stay in this god-awful climate????????????????? Oh wait...did some just say paycheque 😀 ?

Guess most other people are out lazing on the beach somewhere hot or working over something hot then they can go somewhere hot when it is not hot here

There is the odd fixed wing guy still hanging around, like me, but we seem to be being fewer and farther between. Since most of the activity is on the helo forum I don't post very often.

Don't know why the others have left, but I still check in fairly regularly to wait for the comeback of the fixed wing people and to see what you folks are up to.

In some parts of the country it is summer time and the livin' is easy...yeh corny I know but this old fixed winger is busy flyin' and havin' fun here on the west coast.

Chuck has probably disappeared again...saw him a month ago at the Naniamo Fly-In but he's like the bit of cloud in a strong wind...come to think of it he's so small that a strong wind would get him airbourne without wings. This should stir him up if he can find the "ON" switch on his computer.
