Since I would assume that this would be an important date . Can anyone tell me time and location.

From SEC filing of items for shareholder to vote... first paragraph.

On behalf of the Board of Directors, we invite you to attend the Annual Meeting of Stockholders of US Airways Group, Inc. to be held at the Radisson Plaza — Warwick Hotel Philadelphia, 1701 Locust Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19103, on Tuesday, May 15, 2007, at 9:30 a.m., local time.

BajaBabe brings up a damn good point.

Why is this information not on the US web site? Even under "investor relations" there is no mention. A listing of "Events" has nothing, "No events scheduled".

Are the executives ashamed of their own company? Are they afraid there might be "complications" if employees show up?

Or perhaps they think anyone stupid enough to invest in a management group that cannot run their own cars, much less a company, obviously must be computer illiterate.

Oh, wait. Maybe that explains the ongoing "Shares transition nightmare"........ and the complete failure of the company web site. After all, why focus investor attention on yet another failure?

any chance we can undo this unending abortion?

Since this is an Investors Meeting it is logically under "Investor Relations" - have a look. It's been there for several weeks.

Unrelated:

It's interesting the meeting is in one of the classiest sections of the city and not in the typical "business/convention" area.

Was not there yesterday nor the day before, even under, "Events" within "Investor Relations". "Events" even had the informational statement that no events were yet scheduled in the near future so it was not the typical A&W computer "glitch" we have come to know and love.

I suppose that is something you check every day?

BTW, since you know so much about PHL that area is one of the business/convention areas, slightly west of the PHL Convention Center (as in city center), which, considering the stock slide, might be just a little too big. Also, big means the CEO has to address a lot of people, compared to, say, the utility room on the ground floor of a Holiday Inn Express. Smaller means easier and cheaper (hostile) crowd control, not that things would be any different than at a typical USAirways ticket counter or gate.

As a matter of fact, I check it about twice/3x a week, since I'm an investor in the company.

As for the rest of your post. I'm sorry, I have no idea what you're talking about. The hotel is adjacent to Rittenhouse Square - about 7 large city blocks from the PENNSYLVANIA, not PHL Convention Center (there is no such thing). If want to bash US, at least present accurate facts.

This has nothing to do with the location of the meeting, just an inquiry about a certain bldg.
I am not trying to confuse anyone, but isn't the Philly Convention Center next to the Palestra?

The Pennsylvaia Convention Center is where the Old Reading Terminal was.

I know my way around Philly but its certain places I just don't put names with. Pat's and Geno's Steaks I can get to, The Link and the banks. LaSalle U. I also know where Temple U. is, good hospital, bad neighborhood.

And for those who can't make it, they are doing a live audio webcast.

The PR:

TEMPE, Ariz., May 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- US Airways (NYSE: LCC) will
conduct a live audio webcast of its annual meeting of shareholders on Tuesday,
May 15 at 9:30 a.m. EDT. The webcast will be available to the public on a
listen-only basis at www.usairways.com under the About US >> Investor
Relations tab. An archive of the webcast will be available in the
Public/Investor Relations portion of the Web site through June 15, 2007.

You're thinking of the Civic Center. Last time I drove by it, parts of it were being torn down, and I believe the main hall has been permaently transformed into a sound stage for shooting movies and television shows. (As opposed to people, like in parts of the city on a daily basis this year.)

Also, if you're looking for a bar with good beer choices, there's Monk's at 264 S. 16th Street, at Spruce. They have over 100 kinds of beer from all over the world, but specialize in Belgium and European beers. Over 30 beers on tap at any given time.

OK it was the Civic Center. I was there back in the early '80's for the Philly Auto Show. As for drinking beer, those days are past me. I miss it dearly, especially the European Beers. Thanks for the info!
