What's new

Who will run?

CLT elections are coming up soon in either Feb or March, anyone know who is running? Who would you want to run?

No problem. Let's get the TRUTH out when the voices are heard.

You start. Bring out the "TRUTH".

Nice to see you posting. Some of us miss the numbers.

Oh, and BTW, I kinda agree with Sharky, wouldn't the "lemings metaphor" work better than your "Kool-aide" thingy? Unless you are talking about AFA Intl. Then the metaphor would work real well, but would include MF and LA drinking the juice.

I don't know who is running in CLT but I sure hope we get some new blood in the office!

Yes You Will Have New Blood Running and Hopefully Elected!
The reserve chairperson Cathy Campbell...she is very dedicated to the flight attendants. Knowledgeable too.
I believe she will be running for the Presidency. I think she has been flying between 18-20 years.
She is a Great Asset to AFA and I hope that the CLT Flight attendants Vote for Her, they will be represented Well by Her!

I hear Mike Flores may be running. Watch your back Ann!
I guess this jackass wants to finish the term he started, before he got Teddy out of the MEC position. He'll have alot to answer for if he does run, like why he gave half of our profit sharing to the AWA side. Nothing against our fellow employees over there, but we did negotiate this in our concessionary contract. My vote is going with Campbell. She is very passionate and knows the contract very well. I will push for all RSV's to vote for her. I'm not sure yet, who else is running. Clt has been way too stagnant since we got hearn out of there. We need a wholesale sweep in CLT, just like PHL needed it. The previous officers should just help make it a smooth transition and lend advice.

Cathy Campbell would be fantastic as our CLT LECP! She has been both a reserve and a blockholder and I don't know anyone who knows the contract better and if she doesn't know it she will find out!!! She'll get my vote.

Any idea who else is running in CLT? What about LECVP & SEC? Whose running?[/b][/color]Cathy Campbell is definitely the top choice for LECP!!

I think John Humphries is going to run for LECVP. He used to be in BWI in their office. I flew with him recently and he seems up alot of the issues. He is a RSV, not that that matters. Cathy and he would make a goor team, im my opinion. I am not sure about the other position. Maybe ann could come out here and bid rsv for 6 months and see how some of us live. Out of site, out of mind.

John has what it takes...he is sharp and has his act together...

I think John Humphries. would be a huge asset to CLT. He's also an attorney; but I'm not sure what state(s) he is licensed to practice. He is a great communicator, writer, and can write an "agenda item" better than anyone at AFA International. His background at AFA includes Vice President of BWI Local, as well as President. He also was Council 70 Local grievance chair when Mollie McCarthy was LECP of PHL; John also served on numerous committees on the Local level as well as MEC.
It would be great for AFA to have John back in service for the f/as. He's terrific, imo.

John IS a CLASS ACT and would be great for CLT and the Union as a whole. Last I heard he is quite busy and successful with his Real Estate, so if He is interested the election could be of interest.

I am sure that he is interested in getting involved at the level that he is best at. He was sort of brushed aside because he is just too talented. One thing I know about John he speaks his mind and will not be swayed by B.S.

Just a "westie" that wanted to add my 2 cents. I had the priviledge of working with John and can say it was a great experience. He was very professional, and he clearly had a wealth of knowledge and experience with union matters. A great sense of humor too!

I'm not up on who is who as far as east politics goes, but I venture to say if John runs and is elected, the folks in CLT will be in very capable hands.
