We need a wholesale sweep in clt. The blood here is very stagnant. I would bet money that none of the present officers will be there after the next elections. Most of the people I speak with say we need some passionate, high energy people in there. I think most people will be alittle happier then.

I totally agree with the whole clean sweep idea the union reps in clt don't seem to have a clue about flying everyday or what ---- it is sitting on reserve and having no life for 18 yrs. But everybody does need to vote!!

Someone faxed a letter that was from Jerry Glass to Teddy, to TGs fax machine (no header information was included).

TG called Teddy and asked if the contents of the letter was true. Teddy answered yes.

As is ethical, right and true, TG then asked Teddy if she had notified the MEC. The answer was No.

TG then asked Teddy when she intended to inform the MEC. Teddy implied, never.

By any ethical standards, this is unacceptable.

TG then stated to Teddy that she would give Teddy several days to notify the MEC, otherwise TG would fax copies of the letter to the MEC members.

Teddy did not so TG did.

Likely, if Teddy had not made such a big deal about this, the MEC would have passed on the information.

While I cannot state whether LA was in bed with MF, I can state with absolute certainty that, while TG tried to work with LA, major problems cropped up from the beginning.

I believe the recall was all about changing from the old BS.

LA getting paid by the company in order to not use any of her sick bank. Abusing the ETB.

Once everyone knows about all the deals that get cut on the side, Mr. Glass will not be able to "command" the union anymore.

What kind of fax machine does she have. Ever fax I get has a number that it came from, that way I can track who sends me a fax. She should have the same on hers, no matter what type of machine she has.

I think you make this stuff up...or you rely too much on your favorite girl's faulty memory,historical time-lines of events were never her strong-suit.

The majority of the MEC knew about the Jerry offering to give Teddy 25 years of service pass, having 3 months to complete 25 years before her Dec. 2 departure, back in April 2005. The only two LEC members that didn't know was Laura A. and Alin B. DCA. Why? Because they were not on the MEC and didn't take office until July 2005. Teddy's hire date was 3/21/81...her departure was to occur Dec. 2 2005. Teddy never asked for a 25/45 term pass, didn't need it, and the majority of the MEC knew of it. Teddy's decision to leave on a VFLR at the end of Dec, instead of waiting until 2006 had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with a damn pass. The VFLR includes its own lfe-time passes, my friend. Laura A, and Mike F, along with "boy-wonder", Alin B. of DCA were plotting to pull Teddy out a month before Laura A. took office in PHL, JUly, 2005...this according to some members of the MEC at the time who were approached by Laura A. before she took office...along with Mike F., who wanted the MECP seat. They could have cared less about the fax, it just gave them an excuse to "recall" or force a resignation. These are the facts. TG was just a vehicle for them to use along with some senior management that many speculate, sent it to Terry G knowing her insatiable need for "drama".

Nonetheless, TG did not ask if Teddy was going to inform the MEC. And TG did not say she would wait 3 days. The documents were in the mail to the entire MEC (excluding Teddy)as evidenced by the post markings from the members of the MEC who received it. Jerry's letter was faxed to the members of the MEC the next morning.

Teddy does not have defend herself to the likes of Terry G, or Mke, or Laura, specifically when the MEC by majority did not oppose Mke F. offer to a 13-year CLT f/a, a seniority of 20 years term pass, when infact she left on a furlough with 13 years seniority. The f/a group does not know about this, and no one on the MEC has written it out or would dare write it out. It was one of the Mike F. specials and "first order of business" when he became the MECP back in Aug 2005. Their reasoning... the f/a had requested it since she was in the plane crash of 1994, worked as an instructor at U, then went out on a V. Furlough, than the VFLR, and sked the company for this type of life time term pass. The company stated it was up to the MEC. Damn hypocitical, if you ask me.

TG trying to justify discrediting Teddy thinking that her act of f/a loyalty would some how catapult her to some kind of union rep. stardom, basically tends to place one at the bottom of the heep. Where you get she could influence events at the International level or think that there is some "back handed deals" with the likes of Jerry G and members of the MEC is purely delusional on your part and hers. Mike F. and those members of the MEC who believe in what he brings forward just give it away...Jerry just needs to do what he does best.... demand it.

Ouch. Thanks for the whole story, Bull. I had been waiting to hear the details. Hope you had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I just had my first New Year off in 18 years. Unbevieveable. Strange how stories can get changed. Explain to me how MF ok'ed West f/a's getting their hands on our profit sharing, if you could.

My understanding of it according to some members of the MEC is that in Jan, 2006, Mike brought to the MEC for a vote the issue of sharing the "profit sharing" with the West f/as. My understanding is that it was presented to the MEC on a conference call with info sent to them in very short notice. Some how,in some fashion, Mike presented that the AWA MEC did not want to give the East furloughees longevity if they were called to work on the West operation. Mike told the MEC that if they did not agree to the "profit sharing" for the West, that the AWA MEC would not support longevity for the furloughees. That was his presentation. NOne of the MEC members spoke to AWA MEC on this issue, and they relied on the information Mike F. brought to them.

I don't see how AWA MEC got into the issue of furloughee longevity pay, or if it was even true, but AWA West has nothing to do with furloughee longevity, nor anyting to do with East contractual language which they are not a part of. Furloughee longevity for pay purposes is in the East contract. My contention would be to argue longevity separate,and the "profit sharing pool" to be negotiated by the AWA MEC with their management...as it should be.

Once again, Mike F. speaks out of both sides. He writes to the f/as that thiere will be NO COST NEUTRAL contract, yet he agreed to just that with the profit sharing language. It cost the company...ZERO additional monies. Profit sharing for the West came out of the East compensation language, which is the only possible compensation language the majority of the East f/as could have received through 2012.

From where I sit, I see that the members of each base are finally wising up and want a different direction of representation. I think they believe that their involvement can definitely influence the direction of the MEC, change events, and hopefully change the outcome.

I know who I will vote for LEC P in CLT and that is Cathy Campbell. She cares about both reserves and blockholder issues. She has been actively involved in the union for at least 17 or more years on a volunteer basis. I believe that she would be the best to represent all of the flight attendants in CLT and maybe get some unity back into our union. It is about time that she runs for LEC President!
