What's new

Who would like to answer this difficult question?

Don't blame democrats for turning education into a money laundering scheme...Business is doing their part.
They sure are. They are pushing those leftist/socialist agendas.

My kid was going to become a physical therapist. Used to require a masters degree, but now it requires a doctorate. She was talking to a current physical therapist and his advice was to go one more year and become a real doctor. They require a doctorate, but there is no increase in pay to go along with the extra $100K in tuition alone at a PUBLIC university.

I noticed you just totally glossed over the correlation I made between ever rising tuition, government loans, and schools pushing leftist agendas.

Can't see the spotlight through those blue tinted blinders can you?

Hmmm...democrats want illegals so we can lower the pay scale. I can remember the good old days when Republicans would point to an autoworker and say "why should we pay a guy $75 to put a bumper on a car" (a number which was not entirely correct btw). So THEIR solution to "Making America Great Again" was for workers to work for less money. One more time - those voters in Ohio and Michigan who heard Trump tout "jobs jobs jobs" had visions of that guy being paid $75 an hour to put a bumper on a car and NOT a guy being paid $20 an hour with no pension and who had to pay towards his healthcare coverage to put a bumper on a car.
The fact you even made this post tells me you did not even watch the video I posted, yet you felt compelled to comment on it.

The video mentioned economic impact of illegal immigration but that was not the point of the video. The point of the video was about Democrats attempt at social engineering to gain political power.

Try to keep up.

No doubt. But the thing is this...on the Republican list of threats to America the top 2 are

1 - Illegal Immigrants
2 - unions.
Not really. Republican representatives love illegal immigrants. Its the American working class that sees them as a threat. And rightly so.

Yes...rightly so. But here's something - on another board a poster is far right and very anti illegal immigrant. He lives in Chicago. He had a patio installed. He went with the low bidder. The workforce was speaking Spanish. Most likely illegal immigrants.

My solution is that if we want to prevent illegals from taking jobs from Americans, then along with sending them back to Mexico, we should fine the **** out of any business that hires them. I don't care if it's a Hormel meat packing plant or Joe the patio builder. Assess a "this is gonna put you out of business" fine on them. For corporations - huge fine AND jail time for execs. HIs response? "That would be punishing business". My thought is - it's supply and demand. As long as there is demand from employers who hire them, they will find a way to supply it. AND...the money collected in fines could go to build that damn wall (that won't work).

If the wall would be as ineffective as you maintain the Democrats (and the Republicans) would gladly fund it. As for the rest of your post I pretty much agree.

Funding for the wall is money we don't have. So we'd incur debt to build it. I thought debt was a bad thing.
