Funding for the wall is money we don't have. So we'd incur debt to build it. I thought debt was a bad thing.

That debt would not be a drop in the bucket compared to the money they wire out of the country, the cost to educate their anchor babies, the cost to provide them social services, and the cost to put those of ill intent in prison.

If the wall SLOWS immigration (and it would) then that saves money.

The question is if it saves enough money to justify building the wall.

I grew up in Florida. Do you have any idea how many thousands of Cubans were able to evade state of the art Coast Guard cutters across a narrow 90 mile long stretch of open ocean? Have you ever seen the number of pleasure boats along the coast (think Gulf of Mexico or Gulf of California)? Are Mexican's not capable of taking a boat?
