Will Athens go junior?

Some ADA rules:

4.10 Elevators.

4.10.1 General. Accessible elevators shall be on an accessible route and shall comply with 4.10 and with the ASME A17.1-1990, Safety Code for Elevators and Escalators. Freight elevators shall not be considered as meeting the requirements of this section unless the only elevators provided are used as combination passenger and freight elevators for the public and employees.

4.10.2 Automatic Operation. Elevator operation shall be automatic. Each car shall be equipped with a self-leveling feature that will automatically bring the car to floor landings within a tolerance of 1/2 in (13 mm) under rated loading to zero loading conditions. This self-leveling feature shall be automatic and independent of the operating device and shall correct the overtravel or undertravel.

ASME A17.1-1990, Safety Code for Elevators and Escalators
ADAAG 4.10.1 requires that elevators meet the ASME A17.1-1990 Safety Code for Elevators and Escalators. Platform (wheelchair) lifts under ADAAG 4.11.2 must meet Section XX of this code, the Safety Standard for Platform Lifts and Stairway Chairlifts. (Note: More recent versions of the ASME A17.1 Safety Code do not include provisions contained in Section XX for platform lifts; these provisions are now provided in a new separate standard known as the ASME A18.1-1999 Safety Standard for Platform Lifts and Stairway Chairlifts.) I had this flight attendant on one of my flights. I think she was the junior one on board.

Her? Please, she's practically on morning OPR filling out Cash Cows in hopes of an Allentown turn!

MDA? Yes, Jerry (glass)'s kids.... we were the young ones no one wanted to help!!!

Westies... we make fun of you but we make fun of ourselves just as much... I honestly can't wait to get fresher faces combined with our seasoned folks... the industry is supposed to be DYNAMIC, not stagnant... I really think when the fence comes down things will be fun again!!!

Is flying to London, laying over for a day, maybe two, and flying back considered "worldy?"

I wouldn't quite call it "work"... i just sat in the jumpseat doing my Sudoku puzzle... it was "too turbulent" for me to get up, I could have hurt myself

Are you joking? It was smooth as the "C" F/A's bald head. You and the other boi up front even made a pyramid out of playing cards. I saw you through that cheap ass mesh curtain.

Oh? listening in were you? We told you that it was too bumpy to give you water, its only an hour flight, you can wait till you got inside the terminal!

I'm sorry, but with this new pack-out requirement with our carts I just can't risk moving that much weight & hitting an air pocket... I mean, one slip and I could mess up my hair or even break a nail.

No. Well maybe if you come back with a Harrods bag.

I only laugh because of some of the looks I got when I was commuting PIT-LGW (US) and then onto GLA via BA and then PIT-PHL-GLA (for a very short while). "You have a flat in Scotland?" (insert raised eyebrows and 3 minutes of bubbling questions here). FWIW, some of the early GLA flights went "junior" in the relative scheme of things. I think I had at least two cabin crew under 40 maybe 4 times!

It's no different than running BOS-WAS every week or SFO-LAX, just a bit longer. You would think that 20+ years flying about would get people past the "really need to get out more" moniker. Oh well.
