Some what off topic but still in the vein of "no way in hell I'd try it" is the guy from Australia who is going to try and break the world record parachute jump.

He's going to jump from 120k feet (23 miles) break the speed of sound and parachute to a safe landing.

Supposed to launch at 1p est.
