Just heard this from an acquaintance with first hand knowledge.
Apparently, at his place of work someone had posted a HEPAC webpage along with the application form.
One startling, and now very unpoplular, employee thought this was notice that the employees at this particular location were forming a union. Clearly thinking of his fellow employees best interests, and very well intentioned, he wrote to the company's upper management I'm sure just to keep them well informed of the situation.
Many phone calls were then made by said management to 'trusted individuals' to get to goods on those responisible and many misdirected accusations were made.
Finally, the OFFENSIVE notice was torn off the board and shredded with comments made about posting of subversive material in the workplace.
Interesting indeed that something as innocent and benign as HEPAC should have so much effect.

Quite accurate Blackbeard, I heard the same and I will bring it up this week when I get together with upper management for a "social type" lunch.

I bet you might find a company policy on bulletin boards. And I bet posting something like that was against that policy, after all it's not really a bulletin board owned by the emplyees is it? I believe they would have the right to remove anything they don't want there.

Incidently, ever seen a union drive at a company? You won't see it happening on company property or on company time. They'll either wait off the property, or show up at your home with their pamphlets.

P.S. I don't think Blackmac will like your description of his HEPAC...
