A classy way recognize 40 year employees

Actually, this is a retirement flight for the 747-200 (after ~40 years of service). It has nothing to do with 40 year employees. Anyone can ride on it as long as they pony up $40.00 to do so.

By the way, NW used to have special passes for employees who hit 40 years, but those went away with the merger....

I nkow that NW has recognized those who have 40 years to the company with special dinner in the past. Now, as the red tail get ready to fly into the sunset, this is very classy.

BTW, over at US, they had their first 50 year employee a few years back. He got a cake!
Some companies give nothing. Cake is better than a Goose Egg. He's lucky he made it in this industry that long. Theeres no more future. The company can keep there cake as long as they give me a paycheck in this economy.
