OK, If you are a true whirlygig driver, you will have a favorite spot to do your afterwork paperwork and relax on the way home. I'll start out with a few favorites from my travels...

Halifax - Curly Portables

Terrace, BC - The Back Eddy

Smithers BC - The Alpenhorn

Lets see how many we can find. Vortex Ring might need a few suggestions as he is enroute to Portage this week.

RH

Whitehorse - The Airport Challet

Dawson City - The Pit of course

Halifax - Granite Brewery

Truro - Hmmmm....

(might be outdated and needing to be revised)

Kopper King in Whitehorse.

Back Eddy in Hay River

The Zoo in Slave Lake

Dan's Pub in Ft Nelson

Any Hooters or Joey Tomatoes for scenery.

Any small town Legion.

The pub in the Port o call in Calgary

Any place that begins with "O" is usually fine.

The "Locker Room" at the Edmonton Inn.

Truro- The engine Room.. ( it's not great... but given the options... better than nothing at all)

Ottawa The Heart and Crown Irish pub.. can't remember the name of the st it's on.. but not far from the By town market... almost accross the road from the Blue Cactus..

If I recall it correctly...
in Sault Ste. Marie -the Lone star restaurant in the hotel "The Watertower" Or if you're spending the night there... and they still have it... the awesome outdoor hottub... and you're able to enjoy a few brews while relaxing ...

St. John's NL - O'Reilly's.

Anyones who is around on Paddy's day, stop by and see Sharky and I. We'll be the two horizontal heli pilots closest to Canada. :D (CTD, Grreat!!!! )

RDM: Re Makkovik, is Susie still there,by my information she would be 87 years old.

:elvis: :elvis: :elvis:

Elvis, to the best of my knowledge the "king" of Makkovik is still kickin. Jimmy passed away just a few years ago. I have placed a call to a gentlemen by the name of "Baikie" he is the Labrador moderator of this board, so if there is a correction to be made he will set us straight for sure.

It has been 7 or 8 years since I have been to Susie's.

BTW, Susie was 87 in 87

for sure.....best base manager a guy could ever work for. Of course that is when he wasn't threaten to fire me. (not that I did not deserve it at times) :p :)

RDM: If He is the person I am thinking about He was the hanger "gopher" when I was in GooseBay.

:elvis:  :elvis:

Got your PM.......

jeeze man your date'in your age, GB (aka JBC) sweepin the hangar floor, that was a long long time ago. He is the big cheese now withCFLCO, we just refer to him as sir, not "gopher" :p  :p

although I have called him much worse , hey nine and a half fingers?

RDM: Susies age was based on article in Them Days ,stories of early Labradour by the one and only Susan Anderson where She talks about being 17 in 1934.
