Best Pubs

Add another one in YXY on the main drag. It would be the same as the Gold Range in YZF except for the name. I was in there in the early 70s and next time was at a NATA conference about 6-7 years ago with Stevie P from KBA. Nothing had changed with the crowd, they still looked and smelt the same. :p

BTW going out on the town with SP was a "real" treat <_<

RotorHead, I've only heard of Slack's, but never actually been inside the premises. I usually had a bag lunch, and stayed at the hanger and read over the company SOP's then went straight home to the Motel after work..... ;) :p

Let me see now.
All the military clubs in Goose BAY
Curly Portables Enfield N.S.
Arctic Circle Club Resalute Bay
Inn of the North Yellowknife long time ago
Rumrunners Sydney B.C.
Breakers pub Prince Rupert B.C.
Holiday Inn Oshawa Ont.
End of the line pub Bridgetown N.S.
Way tooooo many to remember, but all were fun
AHHHH the good ole days

I recall one famous one in Texas or ?? with the slogan...

"Liquor up front, Poker in the Rear"

Lots of spots here in Norway too. Can't spell most of them.

BTW, I wasn't in the Clarion Stavanger Hotel more than ten minutes, and I see 407Driver on Norwegian TV flying a 212 heliskiing.

Made me homesick after the first day away.

I'm famous ALL over the world RH, a legend in my own mind in several different languages. I sort of recall those guys, that was a few years back. Was I in a shiny Red -HP or good old OKV ??

Good luck in the Sim.

I think it was FDHP, without the company name painted on her. Looked like you were having fun there. Just headed off to the grueling sim for the day...

Better take a baggie there RH, those sim things can get wobbly.

407 a legend indeed, even in foul language. B)

They lap this stuff up overseas, can't get enough of it. One of the Korean pilots we had at Bell told that he saw my Discovery Channel show in Korean. Another buddy told me he saw it in England translated to Arabic. I can only imagine how that sounds.

Ah Yes, good old DHP, the ultimate Ski machine ......

Hmmmm? a good STOL aircraft, but it may have been HDY that day ??? :D :D

Hey 407, so you flew DHP on skiing too, huh??
It's still working, and at my lodge now.
Here's a photo I took last week waiting for the group of 62 skiers to come down.
Did it have a heads-up display for the guide when you flew it ??

That's too funny. I only saw the registration for a second as you were casing skiers down the slopes. My mistake, must have been HDY.

I think leaving the gear up would make a smoother landing. Like a toboggan.

So much for the pubs.
