why do mechanics recieve and dispatch ? ( its not an A&P fuction )
why do mechanics at non A&P positions get paid for A&P license (GSE,PLANT MANIT,SEAT SHOP,HYDRO SHOP,ELECTRICAL SHOP,FIBERGLASS SHOP .... )
why do we have mechanics deicing .
why do mechanics get paid for both A&P license when only one is used in their job description; (sheet metal,engine shop,apu shop, etc.etc....
why do planners at overhaul shops get paid the same as mechanics?...
why do we need utility or stores?
why do we have station bumpping rights (SHOULD BE YOU WILL BUMP THE JUNIOR MAN IN THE SYSTEM ,LIKE UNITED AIRLINES)
WHY DO WE ALLOW GSE,SHOP MECHS TO BUMP INTO LINE POSITIONS WHEN THEY HAVE NOT WORK THE AIRCRAFT IN THE LAST 5,10,15,20 OR 25 OR 30 YEARS OR NEVER.
WHY DO MECHANICS THAT CHOOSE TO WORK AS UTILITY OR STORES KEEP ACCUMULATING TIME AS MECHANICS AND ACCUMULATE MECHANIC TIME FOR RETIREMENT (LETS SAY; YOU HIRE IN 1/1200 AS UTILITY PERSON,THERE IS AN OPENING IN GSE IN LGA,PHL ETC.. YOU BID IT; YOU GOT IT. AFTER PROBATION YOU DECIDE TO GO BACK TO CLEANING AIRPLANES,30 YERAS LATER DECIDE TO RETIRE ALL MYOU HAVE TO DO IS BID A MECHANIC POSION TO GET MECHANIC RETIREMNT BENEFITS (FULL BENEFITS) EVEN THOUGH YOU ONLY WORKED AS GSE MECHANIC FOR 3 MONTHS 30 YEARS EARLIER).
SO MUCH WASTE .
AND THE IAM WILL NEGOTIATE PAY CUTS TO KEEP ALL THESE CRAP.
I CAN GO ON AND ON AND ON....
