US AIRWAYS EXPRESS TO RESTORE REGIONAL JET SERVICE BETWEEN MANCHESTER AND WASHINGTON, D.C.
Additional Flight Capacity Also Being Added for New Hampshire Primary
ARLINGTON, Va., Jan. 16, 2004 -- US Airways Express will restore regional jet service on flights between Manchester, N.H. and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. In addition, US Airways will operate larger Boeing jets on this route to accommodate demand from Washington for the New Hampshire primary on Jan. 27, 2004.
Beginning Feb. 9, 2004, US Airways Express will replace its three daily turboprop flights between Manchester and Reagan National with 50-seat Embraer regional jets operated by
US Airways Express carrier Mesa Airlines.
For this year’s primary, US Airways is upgrading its service by replacing two of its three daily 37-seat Dash 8 turboprop flights from Reagan National to Manchester for Friday Jan. 23, 2004, with 126- and 144-seat Boeing 737 aircraft. The upgraded flights will depart Reagan National at 9:40 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., and will arrive in Manchester at 11:19 a.m. and 4:57 p.m., respectively.
US Airways also will use the larger Boeing aircraft for customers returning from the primary on Jan. 28, 2004. These flights will depart Manchester at 11:50 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., and will arrive at Reagan National at 1:28 p.m. and 7:03 p.m., respectively.
