Democrats the gift that keeps on giving thread.

They conveniently don't want to talk about these things!

He’s far to moderate for the socialists nut jobs running the democrats these days

Good point. I just don’t see any path for the democrats with the economic numbers being as they are. Heck even CNN talking heads were gushing over the strong economy under Trump.

One thing y'all don't seem to admit. The economy that Trump inherited was moving up....already near an all time high. It had been moving up for 8 years. There is a saying about being born on third base and thinking your'd hit a triple. That's kind of what Trump inherited. And it's about 18 months until the 2020 elections. And a funny thing about these economy deals is - it takes several years to grow. But it can come crashing down in a matter of hours. If it hiccups between now and the election - those economic numbers may not look so good.

I understand your point, but there was nothing that Obama did to improve the economy. He even poo-poo’d Trump about creating manufacturing jobs and GDP. Remember Obama saying “what magic wand do you have?” and those manufacturing jobs are gone for good?

For six years, he blamed Republicans in Congress for thwarting his spending agenda and hampering growth. In his last two years in office, he claimed that 2% growth was the best we could hope for. And in his last year in office, while the economy was again stalling out, Obama claimed that Trump's tax cuts and deregulation would only make things worse.

The rate of GDP growth was decelerating in Obama's last year. It went from 2.3% in Q2, to 1.9% in Q3 to 1.8% in Q4 of 2016. Under Trump, GDP growth has exploded.
