I hope NOT! There are many of us a U that would just as soon see this merger go away. U needs to clean it's own house before stepping in to buy another one.

My comments are NOT designed to disrespect ANY US employees.

With that said, my "reading between the lines" is, that GORDO is sending DL the following message;

Priority 1.,

See what(if anything) NW may be offering.

Priority 2.,

Despite 2 US offers, ........Stay "standalone" !!

If i'm reading this right, "that" has to be VERY hard for Bethune to do, especially since he's a "pro-consolidationist"

The bottom line, is that US brings NOTHING to DL's table. HEL*, DL even has their own BOS/LGA/DCA shuttle.

For those DL/US folks that do NOT want to see this "deal go down", I'm quickly starting to feel, that you will have NOTHING to worry about.

We ALL will know, in a mere 14 days !!!!!!
