US Airways just needs to pay them something. Just a Thank You isn't enough. But then again it was NY Waterways that fished US Airways passengers out of the water. US Airways should be fair with NY Waterways, and leave the NJ/NY Gov't out of it. Doesn't anyone do what is "Morally" Correct anymore? Sad!I think Atlantic is correct. If anyone should pay NYWaterways, it should be whichever government authority has oversight of rescue on the Hudson River. USAirways did not cause this accident.

What is morally suspect is any contention that USAirways is responsible financially for the rescue, and NYWaterways trying to collect from them.
You've got to be kidding! Of course US is $$ responsible, no plane no rescue.
How much would US have paid to avoid pax death from jumping off those wings into the frigid water?
