Over 26lbs of Cocaine found on Aircraft

How things work, the down south edition.

A station employee, maybe a contractor with a security function and aircraft access, is happy to have a job and provide for his family.
He has no intention to get involved with criminal or drug activity and has lived a honest life.

Then one afternoon at the market on his off day, a stranger approaches him and makes him an offer he can't refuse. Actively plant the drugs or look the other way during his shift.

If he refuses, he is shown recent pictures of his small children playing at school and their schedules, and informed that they will not see the end of the week.

Go to the cops? Nope. He knows that the Narcos would learn of his informant status minutes after he calls. In the end he complies to live. Big difference from the scumbags that have run around MIA/JFK/SJU ramp for decades and jumped in purely for the $$$$

It's Medieval.

Sad but true....
Employees involved in drug smuggling go back to Eastern Airlines in MIA in the 80's, let alone American in the 90's and 00's.....
When we got some of their L10s after the shut down we found plenty of coke when they came in for the overhaul/indoc

Heard the same from so CO guys about the A300s.
